It's only part of the anime on a technical level (going with your analogy, fillers are the fat of a meat, you don't eat that, do you?) They called fillers for a reason, to fill in, and pad, not part of the substance and content of the show. I don't see why anybody wouldn't skip them, last I checked, the idea behind entertainment, was to enjoy yourself, not to watch thing out of obligation, as if it's a chore. |

I wasn't going for anything specific with the meat thing, I was talking more about ignoring the bad stuff in general in an anime to chew on the good stuff. I get where you're going with the filler talk, but it's not like the fillers can't work in favor of something or that they can't be enjoyable. Anything can be enjoyable, regardless of the quality of writing so watching them doesn't have to be a chore. But it still hinders the show looking at the big picture in terms of writing consistency, a little bit in pacing and what not. |

| Well personally I think that ALL of them are highly overrated. I have never bothered to catch up with one piece. I admit it. I hate it. So will only compare it with HxH and FMA brotherhood. HxH is greatly overrated. It was good, but certainly there are many many shows which were much better. FMS is well FMS. Hands down it was great. Now lets talk about Naruto and Shippuden. If my memory serves well it has 220 episodes. Roughly 80 episodes were fillers. I am not even sure about Shippuden, but I can bet that at least 40% of it were fillers. Don't forget about animation itself. Well I think this guy also names a few Calling Naruto animes masterpieces is insult to any good anime shows |

I'm ok with whatever's the answer, the majority of MAL is still subjective to the max and all that, after all... You just had to poke at the pacing. Owowow, my One Piece! |

| Obvious bait but I'll bite. One thing I hate about Naruto is the fillers, If Pierrot still puts more fillers in it, I'm definitely convinced that they can't let go of Naruto yet. Haven't seen FMA: B so I can't really judge. |

| Probably because they're not as good as the other ones you mentioned. Fillers can also be the reason. Even if they are just padding to fill in, they are still part of the anime as a whole so it should be included in determining the anime's quality. |
