| Just curious as to how many people would actually consider buying anime or supporting the industry if they weren't poor for whatever reason. Any reasoning's behind your answers? |

| I try to support the industry anyway, just a CR account and collect manga. I haven't fell down the hole of figures yet, and I hope I never will. |

| You don't have to drop thousands of dollars a month. Do research on average prices, look out for deals/sales, and prioritize your favorites. Unless the thing you like happens to cost hundreds of dollars, then good luck. But yeah, anime is a hobby. If you're poor, then you'd probably have more important things to burn resources on. Anime something worth sacrificing living standards for. |

I usually just look for some good deals on Amazon or any other places like Madman (which is local for me so I get free shipping since I'm in Australia). I think people should always support the creators of things that they enjoy. Show the creators that you want more content like the products you like from them, a small amount of money can go a long way if everyone chipped in. |

| The most I've seen anime dvds go for was somewhere around $150CAD($122USD) for the Chuunibyou box set including both seasons and some other junk like Rikka's eyepatch. |

The Ghost in the Shell: SAC blurays are insanely expensive. Same with Kara no Kyoukai and Katanagatari. It's mostly because they don't have any American licensed blurays and getting them imported is expensive as hell. Katanagatari box set is $771USD |

| If I was filthy stinking rich I would buy all my highly rated shows on DVD and also buy a lot of manga. I wouldn't buy any other merchandise though. Buying a lot of merchandise comes across as being really nerdy to me like in the sense of being super obsessive. I'm a big DBZ fan but I would never (even if I had the money) fill my room with nothing but DBZ figures and cover my walls with nothing but DBZ posters. The only merchandise I would probably buy outside of dvds are most likely only the Dragon Ball and Ah My Goddess art books. |
