To install a theme, simply double-click (run) it. If this fails (it could fail in Vista if you don't run an admin account) copy it to /program files/mal updater/themes

I will make an announcement when it's finished, asking you to pm me if you made any of the themes so I can add your username to it.

Edit: You can now upload the themes yourself through the website.

It'd be best if the main window covered up the edges of the pics within the main box like they do in the text placement image, cause I was too lazy to fade out the edges which were going to be covered up anyway. If you don't know what I'm talking about tell me and I'll try to give a better explanation lol. I'm not too concerned about the placement of the buttons or text, as long as it doesn't look too ugly >.<. Thanks!

Nice pic, ill get it done in a bit :) The scrollbox with the anime panels has a fixed width, so it can't cover the edges.. not sure if I really got what you meant though.

I wouldn't mind using a miku skin like that, and now i know how to make future skins by seeing this template.

Really looking forward to this Miku theme. I wouldn't mind a Rin/Len version either.

Is there a possibility to get a more blackish version of the basic skin? I like the basic as it's not as big as the other skins. But the colors are a bit too bright imo.

yeah what Mire said is essentially right, i don't care how tall the window is, as long as it covers up the ugly edges of the pictures inside, the height of the window in the first image i posted is what i used as a template so that's what i had in mind while making it

I am, although it looks much better here with the white background. Once you move it around though, the grey edges are quite apparent, so I'm trying to clean it up. This character seemed to be very popular btw last time I was in Tokyo (dec-jan).
The white line is the progress bar, it's only visible when the scheduler is running (same goes for stop/update now)

The problem is the edges look very aliased if you don't remove the grey'ish dots around her. It looks great on that pic with black background since you can't notice the blurry areas, but when you make it transparent it's totally different.

I can rebuild it with another image if you like. Send me a png with white background to techsuki@techsuki.net

The thing is.. the image here looks great because there are different tones of the same color around her so that it doesn't look aliased, but when the mask for transparency is generated, it takes a single color, so the rest of pixels that were very similar to the transparent one, are still there.

Do we have to do Text Placement as well as show the original image???
I really really suck at doing anything with pictures, but a came across a good one so i though i showed it here:

The text goes on the left of course, overlapping the sword, and you can cut around claire, like you did with the theme named : Miku (i showed an example using paint at what i want to be cut)

For now, here is the Original Picture (resized it a but, but might need more, you decide)

Red square is where all the MAL updater stuff go, while the red lines are where i want to be cut like the "Miku" theme!


Name of the Image is "Claire" obviously from the anime Claymore!
