Yuuki Yuna was an average show. Nothing extraordinary, but nice to see it having some success.

Also glad to see Akame ga Kill fail.

Lots of new CDs released, but not much interests me.

Excuse me if I made mistakes on the romaji of Show By Rock!! bands names (especially with the two new CDs). I'm really not sure if they are correct (just typed according to the link of official site gave).

So this confirms that the Best Live Collection will reach 120K sales in its 125th consecutive week of charting. Not the first time there was a double milestone, since it also reached 100K sales in its 100th consecutive week of charting.

This coming week we have the Best Live Collection II, which has a chance of doing 100K+ 1st week sales if it can manage to do at least 40K sales on day 1. That would really show the growth of LL as a franchise over the years, because the 1st single did a low 434 sales in August 2010, the Best Live Collection did 9,090 1st week sales in January 2013... and now we have singles doing a minimum of 40K sales (60K if associated with the anime, 70K if associated with the mobile game, 95K if associated with both).

I just hope the upcoming Sunshine project is at least comparable to the μ's in terms of the fanbase with adult males/females (mostly 20s and 30s age group), teenage males/females, casual fans in terms of the mobile game, and some big idol names such as "宮田俊哉" from Kis-My-Ft2 and others (Source: http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%A9%E3%83%96%E3%83%A9%E3%82%A4%E3%83%96!#.E6.A6.82.E8.A6.81)

i think you got it the other way around lol

Everyone have their own taste, I don't like slice of life and childish anime

Also, in MAL AKame Gal Kill got higher score and it several times more popular than Yuuki Yuuna. Unfortunately, Japanese have different opinion than MAL

That was evident 7 volumes ago? The fact is that the Japanese who can actually afford to buy anime (which are most likely adults rather than school aged fans) are buying the anime which they enjoy and fulfil most of the factors such as character interactions, characters, story, story pacing, music, artwork, animation, seiyuu performance, etc etc.

Akame ga Kill is not something a lot of buying fans enjoy, although it is doing OK in the manga rankings where there is a larger proportion of teenage fans and is much more cheaper in general. Although it is being aired during the midnight timeslot, poor disc sales would be alright if the manga received a significant boost in sales.

The Etotama sales make me sad everytime I look at them. The series is 100% fun, even the recap episode was fun. Still don't understand the release strategy.

32. *3,107 **3,107 Baby Steps 2nd Season ED "Yume no Tsuzuki" by Ganbare! Victory (incl. in "Zenryoku! Start / Yume no Tsuzuki")

Not as good as the S1 ED by Babyraids but still good, decent sales for the first week, keep em coming.

16. *3,476 *36,839 T.M.Revolution "Ten"

Good good, comes out next week over here. Looking forward to it.

If only YuYuYu VN can be played in 32-bit windows. Most likely YuYuYu S will be the same.
Kickstarter for Rokujouma is fully funded. Good work everyone. Lets wait for the result of our hard work together.

Does this mean that Ookami shoujo and kuro ouji's BD sale didn't even make 373, lol?

It's not surprising. Shoujo anime(that is shoujo manga to anime, not otome anime) rarely sell well.

But the manga is a monster selling over 200k per volume. Shoujo anime watchers don't buy the BD/DVDs.

3 surprises in this list for me, first Yuuki Yuuna in first place, the anime was ok, but there was others that were way better...Rolling girls is also in the list, that thing was bad and Etotama, funny but nothing from another world.

Akame ga Kill failed in Japan, only the none japanese fans like that anime anyway

Before the anime, volume 10 of the manga sold 52,214 copies before leaving the top 50 (in two weeks).
After the anime, volume 11 sold 168,053 copies before leaving the top 50 (also in two weeks).

The DVD/BD sales are mediocre, but the manga got a significant boost.

Binan Koukou beat out both Rolling Girls and Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata :/ Maybe I should try and watch more of it to see why... (probably not though)

Everyone have their own taste, I don't like slice of life and childish anime

Also, in MAL AKame Gal Kill got higher score and it several times more popular than Yuuki Yuuna. Unfortunately, Japanese have different opinion than MAL

The funny thing is that both series have the same author, and even the author seems to be preferring YuYuYu these days

Is there any source for AnY being 3.7k only? I hope that's just the initial and it'll sell much more >.<

Akame ga Kill is ending with around a 2k average, so that's not that bad in my eyes. Especially when you consider the reception of the anime and size of the manga fanbase.

YuYuYu is ending very strong as one of the top sellers of the fall. It was one of my favorites from the season so I'm happy about that.

Yea you made the right choice, better not. I don't understand how does a show like that could sell so well, not like the guys are particularly handsome/cute. Not sure if it's because of the BL tease in the series..

Volume 1 has an event ticket so it'll drop with v2+. But it could be underestimated due to doing well at Animate. All the same though, it's not a big deal as the main goal was to push the manga sales in which the anime succeeded. BD/DVD sales aren't the only things which matter.

And where is the good show on that list except Gundam Origin which is selling pretty great? Everything else is mediocre at best.

These are good shows
Ore, Twintails ni Narimasu.
Akame ga Kill!
Trinity Seven

And these are bad shows that got high sales
Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru
Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata
hmm thats nice...Tell me more about why your %100 subjective opinions about anime should be the basis to determine which shows are good...

Even though I know it's projected to sell at least 6k, I keep getting the feeling it will be a struggle to get Show By Rock selling over 6k, the CDs not selling even 10k is not a good indicator unless digital sales are a thing for it, if there's 1.5k+ digital sales that aren't counted, it would at least explain why none of the CDs are selling 10k. A music anime with the music not selling at the bare minimum standard is concerning.

They need to be barred from overseeing the distribution of anime ever again.
