Both anime and manga are on level field, in my opinion. I enjoy listening and having things move in front of my eyes, but am able to dive deeper into the story when reading a manga.

Also, I think it very much depends on the anime or manga since many action manga seems much "cooler" when developed on screen whereas something like a romance comedy shoujo or whatever does well either way since there are many routes to conveying the story there. It really does depend, but when comparing, I treat them as equals although I do read more manga than I watch anime. I like to tell myself that reading manga takes up less time, but really, it's just as addicting although I don't watch the seconds tick by as I do with anime before clicking onto the next episode. ^_^

Anime for short plots; Manga and LNs for long

I think...it should be the other way around.

This has been asked so many times but it's anime for me anyway. I'm just not used to reading manga as I've been a Western comic book (not just DC and Marvel) reader before becoming an anime fan.
