| The good ones, if they have them do not make them a central point. Stories like G-Senjou no Maou, Grisaia no Kajitsu, Muv-Luv Alternative, they are all absolutely fantastic. They contain H-Scenes but they don't detract from the story, just a little bonus fanservice for the most part. There are good stories like Saya no Uta where it is actually important for the story but I wont go into details. The ones that do have them as a central point are generally nowhere near as good and far more ten a penny than ones with good plots. |

| Almost all of them yes,stuff like Walkure Romanze are full blown hentai VN's in the "pick your favorite heroine/route and see how many sex scenes there are" fashion.Not that you could initially guess after watching the anime... There are some VN that have minor hentai moments just to spice things up ,and actually have a story to tell. |

| Yeah there are VN games that are hentai. Just be careful on playing a M rated or R rated games. I played a few VN games like Oreimo and it doesn't have hentai scenes. I also played Corpse Party and it's not really a hentai for a mature game. Some panty shots but meh the blood is more attractive... lol |

If you know nothing, it'll do you good not to embarrass yourself by sprouting nonsense. Firstly, most of the H scenes are present cos VN need sales, if you know ANYTHING about the industry, such comments won't have come out. Secondly, the scenes actually shows how the characters deepen their relations, it may sometimes be relevant with the story plot when character relations are tied very closely to the story. Thirdly, some of them have PS Vita ports, which are essentially all-age. It ain't like your shitty hentai where the sex is there just to fulfill its role. In fact, I'd go as far to say most VNs adaptations are shit. VNs tend to have better stories than anime. |

| VNs usually have H scenes since it's often obligatory for good sales, similar to how blockbluster movies often have obligatory sex scenes in the last couple decades. Some of them are pretty hilarious since they feel so forced, and might very well be the last thing on the creators' minds. However, the really successful ones can usually afford to release VNs without H scenes, such as Higurashi, Umineko, Ever17, Steins;Gate or new TypeMoon VNs and re-releases (i.e. F/SN Realta Nua). |
| Regarding H-content, I see three kinds of visual novels: - No H-content. They're entirely story-based. Stuff like Ever17, True Remembrance, stuff from ryukishi07, and Phoenix Wright. Honestly, I can't think of many like this, or at least ones that are translated. That being said, the ones that I am familiar with are really popular and well-known somehow. - Has H-content, but there's barely any. The main focus is the story, with the H-content just there as a bonus selling point. Trying to play these for the sex is devoting hours upon hours of your life for crap you could have just googled for. These are things like Type-Moon stuff, Eien no Aselia, and G-senjou no Maou. Sometimes, there are versions with the H-content removed, so you get a clean visual novel where you can just play straight without getting distracted. - Fairly high amount, if not entirely full of H-content. The dating sim stuff are just everywhere, but there are things that still have a plot. I actually can't haven't read anything like these, since they don't interest me much, but I do know of Saya no Uta and Kara no Shoujo, which do get intense. |
