| It's Queen Victoria's Day. Should Canada abolish/separate from the British Monarchy? Let's not get into a debate about whether the monarchy has any real power. That is another subject and yes they do have immense power. Quite frankly, the entire Canadian Constitution needs to be torn down and rewritten without the monarchy. Canada was put together haphazardly in response to the Americans establishing the United States that's all. There was no real planning for the country. Pierre Trudeau did the right thing and repatriated the Constitution. There is no real protocol for separating from the monarchy. It's more along the lines of "we are going to separate. Try and stop us." Thoughts? |
| It would be pointless to try and separate, seeing as the future bodes the return of the glorious British Empire, with "Rule Britannia" blasted from every rooftop! Queen Victoria has done her part, and I shall celebrate her day with pizza, but the future belongs to the new generation of ruler. |
