After all, he was a male, and he was someone you killed, sounds like a pretty well developed character to me. I'm not going to say that GTA doesn't pander to men, but wtf about things like Twilight? Black Swan? 50 Shades of Grey? THE ENTIRE ROMANCE GENRE IN NOVELS? Get your @#$%'ing head out of your asses people, industries pander to their demographics, the pandering done is no more sexist here then what you see in those romance novels (which is the largest section of fiction by far). I don't see feminists pointing out the rampant sexism in mediums pandering towards women, so why on earth do they feel justified in relating sexism in video games to real world misogyny? One last comment, why did none of the girls play a female character? Why did they have no problem beating up the person as long as it was a male? She freaked out about hitting a prostitute but sure didn't mind beating up some random joe on the side of the street. But ofcourse, violence against men is okay, violence against women is misogyny. 20/20 logic. From now on I am going to call feminists matriarchists, because "equal rights" is the LAST thing on their mind. In fact, based on "academic feminism" (not sure why this is even taught in college as something other than theology, but I'll cry a river over that some other day), men cannot even be oppressed or unequal. Men, based solely on the fact they have a dick, are better off than women. Because they have a dick they will succeed in life if they ask, they'll just be hooked up with a CEO position. I mean, lets keep looking at how the majority of the 1% is men, and pretend that that same percentage also accounts for the bottom 30%, lets keep only looking at one side of the coin, because isn't that equality? Sorry for the rant, drunk, and seeing feminism is like seeing cancer, something you wish you could cure but you just can't. |

I watched the 'People watch anime for the first time' video and just hearing this woman gushing over Attack on Titan as if it were some monumental achievement in animated storytelling and then going on to dismiss Kill la Kill as trashy exploitation that's dragging the industry down made me want to put a bullet in my brain. Then again, Buzzfeed are also fucking idiots for showing them the first episode of Titan and a completely middle of the road episode of Kill la Kill. I imagine my reaction to this video would be quite similar. |
