I actually saw Amazon.co.jp displaying rank 1st for this one last week, so I thought it would rank quite well. Rank third, with not that much difference with the second, not bad. Let's hope for a good second week here since it only had 3 days~

Aside the usual popular titles, good to see some different ones on the list for once, such as Nobunaga Concerto and especially Break Blade. This manga needs more love!

Kagerou Daze is going strong on the LN list, and so is Oregairu. Hopefully, they'll continue to sell good.

That Log Horizon in #21 though.. Well, the author issued an apology statement after the tax incident got resolved. But even so, I wonder if the readers will continue to purchase his series.

Wow OP didn't do as well as I expected to do. Little sad by it. I thought OP would sell much more somewhere along 1 million but ow well. SNK is also losing popularity to. At this rate NNT would probably be # 1 for the first half of 2015 and OP being #2.

TG is like Prime Bleach(after reaching the 900K, give them a couple of years and they will sell as much as Fairy Tail).

I already mentioned Gintama manga has way too much dialog.

Update as of Apr 6~12 data for the Cumulative Manga Series sales based on the Top 10 Weekly Manga Series (coloured in light red) and the weekly sales lists (filled cells but not coloured in light red):
http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1373137

*1 5,810,510 七つの大罪 (Nanatsu no Taizai)
*2 5,723,469 ONE PIECE
*3 3,473,305 暗殺教室 (Ansatsu Kyoushitsu or AssClass)
*4 3,382,838 進撃の巨人 (Shingeki no Kyojin or Attack on Titan)
*5 1,987,759 ハイキュー!! (Haikyuu!!)
*6 1,641,250 テラフォーマーズ (TERRA FORMARS)

*8 1,527,570 アオハライド (Ao Haru Ride)
*9 1,443,139 NARUTO
10 1,341,461 東京喰種 (Tokyo Ghoul)

Spreadsheet with calculations:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10K_N1R6l8reAqL4mioBECSNIJ6iqDo2FcouN79dg0Vc/edit?pli=1#gid=1733975541

Obvious flaws are:
● Manga series which did not chart in the Top 10 Weekly Manga Series will have sales missing unless all its volumes have been released after Nov 16, 2014 and we know the exact sales of all these volumes (example is Tokyo Ghoul:re), which have been corrected.
● I have partially tried to account for this flaw, by adding indivdual volume sales from the weekly Top 50 lists for series which did not make the Top 10 Weekly Manga Series, but it doesn't account for volumes which may have charted between rank 51 and 500 in the weekly sales list.

However, it is interesting to see which manga series are the obvious bestsellers this year...

*7 1,579,889 東京喰種:re (Tokyo Ghoul:re)
*8 1,527,570 アオハライド (Ao Haru Ride)
*9 1,443,139 NARUTO
10 1,341,461 東京喰種 (Tokyo Ghoul)

One question you had a chart next to it which had max sales. What was that? Was it your estimation of max sales the manga made so far.

Anyway thank you very much for the information, really appreciate it. It looks like NNT would win the 1st half of 2015 since a new volume of NNT will appear on April 17th 2015.

You are counting from November 2014 to today?(Like Oricon) or from January 1st 2015=

I am counting the same time period as Oricon will do (November 17, 2014 to May 17, 2015 for half-yearly, to November 15, 2015 for the yearly) , since it only makes sense that way.

Max sales is the upper bound a series could do, as it is based on the known weekly sales + (weekly thresholds - 1) for all weeks it didn't make the Top 10 Weekly manga series.

It depends as ONE PIECE is still potentially missing over 1M+ sales due to the ranking thresholds. It will be close I think, since as you pointed out... the new volume of Nanatsu will bring it much higher.

If they counted Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul:re as one it would be fifth. Nice.

Do you know how much Magi sold, you have it in Japanese so I don't know which one is Magi. I was curious to how Magi sold and new volumes of Magi should come out in April which would boost its sales. Its because I expect it to be in top 10 at least.

I'll add a column with the translations later on, but Magi is "マギ".

Thanks and sorry for all the trouble. You are doing a really cool think and I love the ranking stuff. Dammit Magi only sold so far 550,000. My 2nd favorite manga and personally think its the most underrated manga.

Snk isn't losing popularity. If you haven't notice snk volume 16 was release on the 9th. Meaning it only has 4 days worth of sales. Snk averages over 2 mil per volume.

If you really want to know if snk and op is losing popularity wait until the end of the year when you can compare last year per volume sales with this year.

FYI. Nanatsu no taiza doesn't come close to snk and op per volume sales. Every series gets their anime boost, this is Nanatsu no taizai turn now.

Sorry did not notice the 4 days of sells but it feels like SNK volumes are not selling as much as last year, then again its probably that SNK old volumes are not selling as much because people already brought it and the new volumes are selling at the same rate. With OP per volume sales seems to be about the same as last year. SNK feels like it went down a little though could be wrong.

I know NNT is only winning because of anime boosts and that the per volume is no where close to OP and SNK. One interesting thing with NNT is that it actually has 6 volumes per year which is just crazy and it might beat OP just through sheer volumes. Though 2nd half NNT's boost from anime will be down a lot but still very tough competition to OP and OP definitely needs 4 volumes this year to have a chance of beating NNT.

6 volumes per year? That means a volume comes out every 2 month? I don't think it releases that many. Anyways snk volume 15 which came out in December already sold over 2 mil so no to that. And yea, people are done buying the old volumes for snk.

So if we are going by the three volumes that snk release this year it should sell between 6 to 7mill. So snk will probably get the 3rd spot this year.
