Should I read Shakespeare before watching this show?

Since this show takes many motifs and themes from "Hamlet" and "The Tempest", should I read them before watching this?

In case anyone asks why I have not studied either of those, the answer is:
Grade 9 - "Romeo and Juliet"
Grade 10 - "Macbeth"
Grade 11 - "Othello"
Grade 12 - "King Lear"

No, you can watch the show first and read the plays later. Ether way works. You'll have more appreciation for the plays if you read it beforehand though.

Well 2 plays are referenced, Hamlet and The Tempest. I would say you need to read them because I'll be honest I've only read Hamlet. On the other hand I prolly missed out if a bit because I've never read the tempest. I wouldn't say it'll ruin the anime because over all it was very good. Though it may inhance your experience a bit. More over you just understand what sort of plays they are, tragedies.

Never read either of these Shakespearean plays but I didn't have trouble with this show. Basically, you don't have to. I guess your appreciation would be greater if you do, though.
