With the whole Jamie Foxx thing where he is being criticized by the brainless cretins of social media for making a "transphobic," joke at the iheartradio awards, and now Trevor Noah, a comedian who is being attacked for his tweets about women and jews, a lot of people have proven to me that we are all whiny cowards who are easily offended. Why is this happening? When did this start? I need clarity mal. Halp. Jamie Foxx made a snarky joke about a subject that he knew was a sensitive point. People may or may not be too sensitive, but he's an idiot if he didn't expect it to backfire. If you whine about it, aren't you just as sensitive? |

Because they don't make emotion bones like they used to, and political correctness is its protection. However, it's also a double-edged sword that, while it protects, it also makes it even more susceptible. It's all a slippery slope from here on. |

People just take their life too seriously due to personal insecurity and being afraid that they might have their views offended. I find it ridiculous. There needs to be a limt. In my country, Poland, polish farmers were "offended" because our Prime Minister told Hungarian president that their strawberries are better than Polish. He was just being polite! He had to make a formal apology after he came back to our country.... so embarassing |

It is ridiculous, I just saw get hard where there is several jokes made about the incarcerations of blacks and black on black crime and racial stereotypes, and I laughed and I am black. Do you know why I laughed? Because I am not a bitch. You can think its not funny or whatever, but when you go on a crusade/witch hunt and try to ruin someones livelihood over a joke then that is appalling. And don't compare me to those cretins. So you are saying everyone who complains about something is the same as everyone else? Really? |

Pff. Dude, you dont seem to understand that some things are so terrible that only laughter can help some people in dealing with them. I laugh at these kind of jokes too for that reason. If you dont have the capacity to help then this can be a solution for many people to deal with this. Dont reject/judge an idea (this guys sense of humor in this case) only because you dont understand it. |

I believe that people should be able to joke and talk about everything. Its not only a part of freedom of speech but also how the mind of many people works. I really do believe that laughing things off makes it easier on people and helps them have an easier, more relaxed, attitude to life. I dont mind your view, i understand it to a certain extent, but there is no need to be so rude about it. Many opinions differ, but being offended really means nothing, if you come to thing about it. Its just a feeling very often associated with distaste. The fact that people go through so many hateful actions due to being "offended" is ridiculous to me. |
