Impressive. Even for a finale, Eijun still has it in his ways to pitch. This season kinda leaves it open for his team for further developments but I'm glad to see them back on track now.

Since their stunning loss, I think they will need to work even harder to build back up. Can't wait to see the fruits of their results later next season. 8/10. Good sports show. I hope Season 2 gets a decent amount of episodes as well.

>To be continued
Oh that ED card with the guys in the suits is fabulous.

Chris-senpai hitting Sawamura's pitch with everything he has. Sawamura pitches were quite amazing though, having such an impact with just outside pitches.

Seeing Coach Kataoka having such care for every single one of his players always manages to make me tear up!

The retirement match was fun with Jun pitching at the end. The third-years... really going to miss them, a last great awesome scene with them. Seido is looking more than fine though.

Looking forward to Spring, so many great anime. 9/10, the characters really built on me as I watched each passing episode.

Don't know what to say really...so 9/10.

Glad I made this the first baseball anime I watched, absolutely loved it.

Can't wait for S2 to start in 8 days to see the fall tournament (thought it was going to be a while before a 2nd season happened so happy that it's getting one so quickly).

Also "Don't lose...like we did." ;_____;

Wow, I'm looking forward to how good Sawamura is going to get. Thankfully this series will be continuing, my Sundays just wouldn't be the same with out DNA, but apparently there is going to be a time change?? Then that gives me a reason to like Mondays.

This ep looked really good. One can only imagine how great the series could be if they could keep that quality throughout the matches.

Lots to look forward to with S2. Hopefully the depressing upsets will be done with for a long while.

What a great match against the 3rd years. An excellent way to end the first season. So glad to see Eijun pitch again. Getting hyped for season 2 already! :D

Love the ending card, the 3rd years look like a mafia group hahaha

I would say 9/10 or 9.5/10 for me... yea overall really enjoyed this anime.

Why am I crying even though the second season is coming right up? My heart feels like it's constricting...I guess mostly because third years really won't be there anymore :( I think it's a great place to end the season. Even if there wasn't going to be a second season, or at least not happening almost directly after first season, I think they did a really good job with the finale. There were many parts with really fluid animation in this episode, so beautiful to watch. Also, so happy for Eijun. He's gotten the hang of the outside pitch, and it's super effective! Hyped for fall tournament~ This series does such a great job at making me excited for every episode, each week, despite having read the manga past where the first season ended. Have never been bored with it, not even for a second.

aww man I thought I'd never get to see Chris bat against Sawamura, that was a real treat. I'll miss you Chris-senpai ;__; Kind of wish we could have seen Jun pitch though :p Overall that was a great conclusion to this part of the story. Glad there was something fun at the end to counter all the depression.

I really enjoy the series, but think I'll take a little break from it after this. It's more fun to marathon anyway~~

Some impressive animation for the final episode. Loved the slow motion pitch.
This is the longest anime I've watched from the day it aired to the day it ended.
And it's really continuing April 6th? That's less then 2 weeks, should almost be considered one season.

Anyways nice finale, still so much more story left to tell.

At first this took a little to grow on me. Then all of a sudden it just swept me up and I enjoyed every single episode week after week.

It is a very rewarding series as you watch it. You get caught up in the games, the player drama, the future, all of it.

Enjoyed the ride and ready for the next season to start!

A lot of this show really started to drag, especially when the third years left, and only really started to pick up again during the match vs Yakushi and the third years returning. I just plain don't care about any of the first or second years, except maybe Sawamura and, uh... that one blonde guy. Does he have a name? Hell, I'm pretty sure most of them don't have names. I'd probably care more about them if this show was given an actual break, to let it breath, but no. Whatever. The start was good though, and like I said, I liked the third years a lot. 7/10

The third years have finally gotten their message through to the team that remains. It really got me when the new team was getting up early in the morning to go swing their bats and train. Also extremely epic when it lined up the team as well as the third years watching over them from a distance. What's more, Sawamura has finally gotten out of the slump and is back on his feet. I'm so glad Chris addressed the necessity for Sawamura to get his inside pitches back, as being able to combine both will make him ace worthy.

So glad that it's far from over. Mega hyped for S2. 9/10 for this part.

What a way to end the 'first season' of Diamond no Ace! I'm so glad that Chris-senpai was able to bring back Sawamura back to his senses and Sawamura has found a new pitching style, focusing more on his fingertips. The last few scenes with the third years and the current Seidou team saying their goodbyes was very touching. The scenes that played during the OP full insert song were great! You can really tell Seidou are really determined to be a better team now, practicing straight in the morning. I'm so glad that the 2nd season is starting next week. I freaking love this anime. xD Overall I really enjoyed Diamond no Ace S1.

A nice ending tha sets the mood for the S2,even though it dosen't look like it we will be getting our weekly dose of DNA!

I loved it when the OP was played in the final minutes and showing the trainning, the draw,Miyuki's thoughts. The former captain and the current one have the right mindset going to play baseball.

What a brilliant end to season 1. Definitely brought the feels.

Story was good, loved the slump Sawamura went through, though the pay off better be amazing.

Art and animation was usually good.

Ost is awesome, always gets me pumped for a game.

Characters are alright, nothing too special but they're all likeable to some degree.

The anime shines whenever they're playing a game, the tension is off the charts.

Overall 8/10

I dont remember what episode thread it was but the first comment of Chris-senpai as Jesus is jst too bloody iconic for me, I will forever remember Chris-senpai as Jesus hahaha

BUT OVERALL
Really enjoyed S1 of Ace of Diamond, it felt like yesterday I decided to follow the anime but in fact it was 1.5yres ago (how time flies with anime). Since im not following the manga, I got high hopes for S2, I'm really hoping to see Sawamura develop more to be of a competition with Furuya! (and i hope that new coach wont be coaching the new team, i really dislike him atm haha)

8/10 overall :)

I'm going to miss this series... But it's back next week lol.

Nice sentimental ending though. Found it funny how the 3rd years won by 1 run. XD

Well I guess Sawamura won't be getting his ability to pitch to the inside for a while, but atleast he still has a weapon. Lets see how they fare in the Fall Tournament.

When I was looking at the PVs for spring 2015 anime and I thought Diamond no Ace's season 2 PV looked intense so I gave it a try. I love this anime! I am really invested in the characters now. It was really heartbreaking when they lost and I can't wait to see the new team improve.

Pretty good final episode. What a way to hype people up for the next season with the last few minutes, that was neatly done.

As for the show itself, it could have been much better imo, it could have made me feel really nostalgic over the course of 75 episodes, yet it didn't really make me feel the way I think it could have, something like Major. The worst thing about it is that it shares the same problem with every other newer sports anime, which has the tendency to spoil moments with unnecessary comedic relief, it makes it harder to be taken seriously, like Kuroko no Basket, Yowamushi Pedal, Haikyuu.. The only few I think didn't do this are Baby Steps, Ping Pong, and Free, but the last 2 isn't exactly sports anime. Matsutarou doesn't really count.
