| I'm happy that it's not a "true sequel" like the novel was planned to be. Any addition to the original story is bound to fuck up the consistency. Just look at the movie... I can't consider that canon. Though this is supposedly also kind of a part of the story, we just skip it thanks to how the world of S;G works. I'm still skeptical though. I can only hope that they won't fuck up anything or make a mistake :/ What I'm mad about is how everyone now is saying that it's a sequel, when it's not, actually. This is overwritten when Okabe changes the world line to Steins;Gate. |

| The first series ended so perfectly, and was just amazing overall...and I don't care. I want more! This is going to be great, and obviously like many many others, I'm pumped to watch it. Hopefully we're in for some more mind fuckery. |

Well that's the thing about parallel world lines I suppose, any kind of shit can go down so long as it is a 'different worldline' and they keep the physics of all the universes the same. That being said, this seems like a canon addition to the franchise as from what I have seen so far it tells the story of what happened after ep 23 where Okabe failed to go back and rescue Kurisu up until sending the D-mail as his future self. So I probably will regard it as a canon as long as it is good which time will tell if it is or not. |
