| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- It was pretty tense with the soul chips. The mind games were clear and loved Jotaro's confidence in this. Looks like D'arby has some doubts about his own skills. His panicking behavior was amusing to watch after losing his cool and as well as having fears. Glorious ending and quite a fitting one for D'arby's end. Glad to see everyone's souls return. |

| That was an epic bluff by Jotaro. He got that guy unconscious. I was wondering why his mouth his censored and it took me long to realize that he was smoking lol. |

| Is it good though darby? Your fingers at a 90 degree angle, that doesn't seem too good. Anyway I knew as good as a gambler as he was, he couldn't beat jotaro at poker since he has the best poker face ever, and as I thought he got BLUFFED TO DEATH. I mean, with all that asphalt all over his face he could hardly see him at all!( Seriously though I really like that david pro treats the censoring as silly as the source material, I'm so glad they're in charge of this adaption) Man, if only kaiji had star platinum, it wold have made everything so much easier for him. | Nice to see Jotaro get some action in this episode and that moment and art design when D'Arby freaked out was awesome! Oh, and next episode will be awesome with Hol-Horse and Dio. |

| Looks like they had to cut corners in order to properly animate the cards and shuffling (which was pretty good)? I counted 3 shots where they showed the ceiling for no apparent reason, instead of things like Avdol sitting down animated. There was also the weird repetition of the shot of the building (complete with the go go go sound effects) and the note with Kakyoin's soul; that shot was repeated twice. Finally, that sketchy look they had near the end of the episode, when D'Arby caves in. You could say that it was just an artistic take on it, but since David Production never, EVER put something out like this before, I'm inclined to believe they did it because of time/budget restraints. Don't get me wrong though; I enjoyed the episode. I still thought it was fairly well done, apart from the things I mentioned. Feels like they busted out a whole different side to the OST for these last 2 episodes. |

| I rewatched OVA episode right after anime episode and what I can say: episode was better than OVA in almost every point except two things: Jotaro's voice and camera roll (err... I forgot how it's called in English, sorry ) after cigarette and before juice. As for the D'Arby's voice... It's practically the same. Yes, I'm serious. This one's Engrish more noticable and hammy, though. Oh, and boy's design is better in OVA. |

| I kind of familiarize that new OST that plays at the beginning , I feel like it is a remix of an one of the way old Egyption records . Or maybe I am imagining it , anyway It's pretty awesome. |

| That was crazy even by JoJo standards. Until the last moment I thought he switched his cards with Star Platinum but I could not imagine DÁrby would be scared shitless. Also, this censorship was really weird - for a moment I thought Jotaro's face had gone dark to intimidate his opponent but it was just a cigarette. IT's funny how they can show broken bones and lost souls but they are afraid to show smoking. After the intense couple of episodes, it looks like we are going back to comedy next week with the one and only Hol Horse. |
