Usually one does no mix eating with showering as they're two different things that require different attention. So let's step back and look at them separately and then try to find the correlation. First is showering, one does it to cleanse themselves and feel refreshed. It's an intimate moment as you're completely naked with your own body. Secondly and possibly more importantly is eating. You do so to survive as it's the main method of obtaining nutrients to keep the body alive. It can be seen as a social event when you go out with others and it brings joy/fullness. However it has been linked with depression as a means to substitute happiness. So thinking on this note and looking at it's connection with showering we can see a few connections. The person of topic might possibly be suffering from depression. They isolate themselves by eating in a shower where others are not allowed due to the intimate nature of the activity. At the same time they feel a need to clean and refresh themselves while they eat. Perhaps ashamed of seeing their body they eat to be able to forget about it and continue with cleaning themselves. If that is the case then it is a saddening revelation and they should seek emotional help. An opposite conclusion is also likely. Perhaps they see eating as an intimate and personal event. They hate for others to view them while they eat. So under the shower they can revel in the liberation of judging eyes by themselves. This could have quickly became a habit which they cannot break. Thus they turn to an internet forum to get a general consensus of how common the behavior is. |

I've eaten over a sink, over my tub, etc.. when drunk. It gets messy. |

| Why would you even do that? I don't even like cold food and you expect me to eat it wet AND cold? -__- Seriously why would anyone eat in the shower? I mean if you're in a hurry just eat on the way to wherever you're late to go. Most I've done is eat cookies while peeing, I'm not black so I just need one hand to aim. |
