Which Dragon Quest games have you played? What was your favorite one?

Yeah when you consider it was made in 1988 you realize what an epic it was for its time. DQ 4 was also an epic and in many ways was ahead of its time.

I haven't played any of them but DQ1 is in the android apps store and I think I'll get it.

it's practically the first RPG as far as videogaming goes. Anyone who calls themselves a gamer should complete it once imo

I love 8-bit RPGs, but I unfortunately could not complete the first Dragon Quest, because the dungeons were too boring.

Dragon Quest 8 and 9 (the DS one) are my favorite followed by dragon quest 5

Funny how how epic later dungeons should be. Can't beat DQ 4 in terms of its dungeons.

dropped 1, played 2, 3, 4 and 5 and sentinels in the sky. Currently replaying 4 on my IPhone to pass time. I think 5 was best. The only one with a story that gets you.

I've only played the titles available on the DS and I'd say DQ9 is my personal favorite. I had a lot of fun throughout the main storyline. Also, I can't remember how much time I spent scouring the land for hidden grottoes and crafting items with the alchemy pot.

As for my favorite, it's probably 5, though 8 is a close second.
Can't wait to play Dragon Quest Heroes.

So far I've played 1,4,5,6,8 and 9. and I'm hoping to get Heroes soon.

My favorite is probably 8 as it was the first JRPG that I seriously played and pretty much introduced me into the series as well as JRPG's.
