| So I just finished the anime series, and it was enjoyable, though the ending fight I would say was much less exciting for me to watch than when Izayoi fought Laius. For me the biggest irk was that I really didn't care for Kasukabe or Asuka. It's not that I disliked their characters particularly, but them seemed very unnecessary. We already have Izayoi who's plenty op by himself and throughout the anime it felt like he was stepping aside simply for the sake of giving either of the two some screen time and I would always be like "come on I don't want to see this, I want to see Izayoi beat the bad guys into the ground." To me that was really what made the anime suffer entertainment wise. I would rather the anime have focused on Izayoi and Kuro Usagi, the two of whom I think have great chemistry. Maybe it's not like that in the LN, I don't know, but that's what I felt from the anime. Oh, that and the entire last arc I was like "huh?" for solving the riddle. |
| The anime basically only adapted the introduction arcs (first is the intro to a gift game in general and the second is the intro to a gift game with demon lord). So no wonder you would think that way. Just a little spoiler for later events |
