2015 Manga Reading Challenge - Sign Ups!  It's finally here! The reading challenge list has been compiled and now you'll be able to sign up and keep track of your progress here. Thank you so much to all the users who offered encouragement and suggestions in the previous thread! I couldn't have done this without your help. What does it mean to participate in this challenge? It means that you'll have to select 25 items from the list given in the sign up form below and you'll have to read at least one manga that fits each criteria asked by those items. So, at the end of this challenge, you'll have read at least 25 manga series. The purpose is not only to read more manga, but also to go beyond your standard fare by having some specific criteria (but not specific manga). This will be an ongoing challenge that will continue throughout the year so you have until December 31st to sign up and finish! Do I have to sign up to do it? You don't HAVE to sign up to do the challenge, but by signing up, you can officially participate and receive a banner at the end if you complete the challenge. Not to mention, it'll be more fun to do it with other users! You'll be invited to take part in the discussion and you'll be able to keep track of your progress by editing your own sign up post when you've completed items. What do I get if I sign up? A nifty banner to display in your profile that says you're an official participant and the fun of challenging yourself as a manga reader. What do I get if I complete the challenge? The rewarding feeling of having completed a challenge! Also the banner below that gives you tiny bragging rights. Donated banners/badges under the spoiler tag below! FAQ in discussion/through messages -Can a manga count for several items? No, it can't. Even if you read 1 manhwa with a slice of life tag, you can use that work for either one or the other item, not both. -What about ongoing manga? You can include ongoing manga if you started reading it after January 1st but you must be up to date in either the latest scanlated chapter or licensed volume (if you're not using scanlations) by the time you turn in your "completed challenge" form (this so participants can turn in a completed form before December 31st if if they're doing ongoing manga but finish all items). -Is webtoon the same as webmanga? Yes, I'll count it. -Can we use light novels? No as they are not comics, but heavily text-based. Although I said that "if it's listed as manga it counts (talking about manhwa or manhua) I draw the line here. Any question about the challenge itself (i.e. criteria explanation, questions about graphics, donating graphics for prizes, other) should be asked in the discussion thread and not here!
