I'm a big fan of Eureka seveN and Neon Genesis Evangelion. They have to be in my top 5. I honestly think that NGE makes a better prequel to Eureka seveN than Eureka seveN AO did. Yes I'm one of those that hates Eureka seveN AO. It was a nice show but billing it as a prequel/sequel to Eureka seveN was a horrid crime. Honestly I could see it as a TV sequel to the Eureka seveN movie more than I could see it as a sequel to the Eureka seveN TV show. Especially given some of the shit Renton does in AO. Opinions (as in, please share whatever random thoughts hit you about these two shows and any connection that may be between them that you can dream up).

I recommend reading the Deadman Wonderland manga, it's by the same author of Eureka Seven.

Honestly I don't read that much manga (I have too many book series that I am catching up on). I prefer watching anime. Deadman Wonderland is still pretty awesome. I'm downloading some right now after a friend pointed it out to me.

Er....I blame intoxication and remembering faintly that it is supposed to be spelled that way from reading some random thing on this site that said so. To be fair it is my absolute favorite (and yes I'm still intoxicated during this post).

That's a terrible reason to bash Eureka Seven tbh. E7 is good, maybe overrated, but always entertaining anyway. Its a little too immature and shounen archetypal to be one of my favourites, but its romance is probably one of its stronger features.
