Have you ever disliked a character simply because of a seiyuu's voice?

| Yes, Skuld's voice is cancer. I have heard her seiyuu voice another character though and it wasn't as annoying. I think Skuld's seiyuu specifically uses an annoying voice for Skuld. |

| No but it may contribute to it. If the characer's good enough then the voice doesn't matter. The main character of Fly High has the voice of Shinpachi from Gintama who I found annoying and it bothered me for a little while but I eventually got over it. Sasuke's voice for Shirou in FSN made me dislike him more though. |

| Yuki Kaiji's performance as Issei in Highschool DxD annoys the shit out of me. I hate him as a character but above all else I can't stand his voice. I know that for a fact because as soon as I switched to the English dub he became instantly more likeable from the moment he opened his mouth. That might have also been a result of how much funnier the script is in comparison to the bland, derivative ecchi humour in the original but seeing as that's going a bit off topic I'll just say Scott Freeman did a much better job of emphasising his endearing traits. |

I agree with this. I tried to watch DxD subbed but I didn't enjoy it. I really liked the dubbed version of this show. The script for the dub was hilarious and like you said the dubbed VA did an excellent job as Issei. Good job Funimation! Btw, I don't dislike Yuki Kaji at all. |
