| It would certainly help with understanding the entire series fully. If you just jump into Dragon Ball Z/Kai, you will see a lot of characters and not really understand who they are and their relationships with one another. With that said, Dragon Ball GT is an entirely original series created without the story input from original series creator Akira Toriyama, so the quality of the story does go down a bit. It does take place 15 years after Dragon Ball Kai though. |
