Did chapter 13 have you question tooru's identity?

Some may not care (which should be the case about the whole situation) but there's a small outrage about the chapter because it brought the possibility tooru is not trans. Do you agree or disagree with those theories?

uh... it seemed pretty obvious to me from the torso-encounter that the reasoning for the "trans" is rooted in some sexual perspective of whatever trauma(with her parents apparently being killed by a ghoul) occurred before she interviewed for the CCG.
people getting pissed over this need to get over it

i think touru hates men. so there is a possibility that he/she might not be a trans.

I think Tooru's mindset has been like this;

woman=weak
man=strong

and from what we learnt from TG, the strong always tramples the weak. So, it might be her/his self defense that being a man meaning that you are strong. Ironically tho, the only time Tooru manages to do something when she/he dressing up as a girl.

I'm amused at people who are mad at Ishida if he doesnt make Tooru a trans, Ishida didnt even make any conformation on Tooru's gender, so whatever he intends to do, just let him be, it's his story after all.

only thing it made me question was who are these 2 other people who were compatible to become ghouls but we know nothing about. he says 6 were compatible and we know it doesnt include haise so we know of 4/6

I think Tooru is not a transsexual like many of us thought before.
To me it seems like something bad happened to her in the past concerning men, so she developed a complex. She thinks by being a guy, she would not be harassed/threatened by men anymore.

My theory is that she has been raped/tortured by the ghoul who killed her family, since one of the speech bubbles (when she had that monologue about men) said "rape rape", and I doubt someone would think that about men just because she naturally does not like them. Something bad had to happen if she is this scared of males.
