Where are you looking, then? :P Sorry, but this really confuses me. I can find quite a bit on Amazon and eBay.

Are you looking for anything in particular?

In Amazon I bought the first volume of Gosick (yeah, the light novel) and I haven't seen more since this was the only one I was interesed to get, but I'm pretty sure you can get others as well.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned rightstuf. My items always arrive in great condition and their prices are usually very good. Get their gotanime membership and you can save even more. They have periodic sales, so you can generally get manga for pretty cheap.

Ebay is an option, but remember you aren't supporting the industry by buying it off of there (usually). You can get some fantastic deals on Ebay. I remember picking up the entire series of Rurouni Kenshin for $80 brand new.

Amazon is a decent choice. Their shipping department is kind of iffy, but they are quick.

These are the only 3 places I buy manga from. Rightstuf is cheaper than Barnes and Noble, even with their buy 2 get 1 free sale.

Amazon has messed up my orders before on manga. Never gone back. I usually only trust 100% sellers on Ebay or Barnes and Nobles.

More like he's bee unlucky. I've ordered literally HUNDREDS of manga, comics, books etc... in dozens of individual orders via amazon and they didn't screw up even once. They also have basically everything that is licensed, even the english ones despite me using the german amazon.

And if your local amazon really does not have what you are looking for, just use another amazon. UK or US for example.
I probably regret this post by now.

That, too :P

But I wonder, does Toarujisuru mean Amazon itself or people/companies who sell through Amazon?

I don't know what Toarujisuru meant, but amazon messed a few of my orders too. As in amazon itself.

That's why I recommend Book Depository. Free shipping ftw! c:

I meant Amazon in general. Individual sellers or not. I've been really unlucky with that site. I ordered Ai Yori Aoshi volumes 15~17 individually and only 17 got here. 15 and 16 were shipped to wrong addresses and i got someone else's copy of Howl's Moving Castle and some other random manga that i can't recall. It really aggravated me. So much so that I gave up even trying to complete the Aoi Yori Aoshi manga set I have.

Bonus story! [Not manga]

Thanks for the heads up on the free shipping on book depository, though. Definitely something to take advantage of.

I buy mine from Rightstuf.com. I'll wait until a publisher is having a sale (of at least 33% off) before buying a bunch for the free shipping. And with the Got Anime Membership I get an additional 10% off. :) Now I pretty much refuse to buy manga if it's not at least 40% off. xD Cause I know that I can eventually get it for that much on Rightstuf.com.

Depends on what I want.

If I don't like hassle, ebay (used), rightstuf/animecornerstore or amazon.

If I want it cheap, I go scour forums/social media platforms to see what people are selling.

I get TONS of manga from Amazon itself, and I'm completely satisfied with them. I don't trust individual buyers and sellers. Gotta love that Amazon Prime (free two-day shipping)!

I'm glad someone mentioned bookdepository. Never heard of them until now. Finally, I can buy the first few volumes of Berserk, since Amazon's copies are out-of-stock for awhile.

I buy mostly from Amazon online or Indigo online(Canada), the only problem I have with buying online is sometimes the books you receive are a little beat up. Nothing major like bends, but little blemishes on the corner.

That's really the only drawback I've found from buying online(not being able to quality control yourself), that and having to wait a couple days to have it delivered.

I buy them via Archonia. They have a fast service, I receive my package the next day. Or I buy them at a local comic store in my town.

Same goes with me with my orders of videogames in Ebay, but you shouldn't judge anything just because you had a little of bad luck.
