New to reading manga, confused with how the story progresses in Kaichou Wa Maid-Sama

Hi, so I recently discovered Kaichou wa Maid-sama manga continues further from the animated version and wanted to pick it up. The anime ends with Usui confessin his love and them walking away, roll credits.

Now I managed to get myself to this point in the manga, but after that reading on it seems the story is behind again, I'm getting parts I've already watched in the animated version and it's like the part of them ending up together never even happened.

In what order should I be reading this manga?

Volume 9. If I remember correctly. But, I think that before that there are some parts that aren't in the anime, or after that, some of the scenes in the anime that happened sooner actually take place later in the manga. Confusing I know, but personally I just read all of it. :-P

The anime goes out of order. I'd suggest you start at chapter 34. That is the chapter where Misaki gets wet and Usui wraps his jacket around her and barks at Hinata. The anime rearranged things so that it could end with their kiss. A lot of amazing stuff happens in the manga and I'd recommend reading it after the anime.
