| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Twinkle Twinkle Little Star huh? A fitting title for this episode. The new OP song was alright I suppose. I prefer the first OP song over it though by Goose House. We get some catching up time this episode between Kousei again at the festival. I knew they would do more transition with the flashbacks again though sigh. Overall decent buildup for Kousei's future. I hope the kid pulls it through since it looks like he does walk to the stage. Hmm, the new ED song is alright imo. Dat confidence at the end  |

| That violinist girl choosing the music for him as always, but he doesn't like it to because that makes him remember about his mother. Summer festival. Twinkle Little Star Engrish... the first time in this series to feel awkward. Oh, so the violinist girl's parents owns bakery. The father is scary until seeing that he's the famous pianiost guy. They are hyper, though. Summer sickness, and they are playing with fireworks. Experiencing light in the darkness when falling into the pool. On the day, the violinist girl didn't come... That was a funny disguise (was it by Hayami-san's character?). 25:45 next. Both new OP & ED are nice. Wait... (seeing the above post time), leaked that early? |

| Hiroko is just too awesome of a guardian! Koharu and Kousei get along well. Meeting Kaori's parents and getting to play with sparklers. Emi's disguise to get in xD What Kousei said at the end and also about taking the spotlight! Kaori still not here as Kousei walks on the stage alone. This confidence Kousei has >.<, can't wait to hear the pair's music! |

| oh wow. what a great episode. The part with the parents was funny :D very excited for next weeks episode because Kousei looked very confident when he entered the stage. not sure what is going on with Kaori but i hope it really is nothing serious. I love the new ED song but the OP is also nice. |

| OP and ED were gorgeous. It's been a long time since the last episode, and I felt that I enjoyed this episode less as a result of how much I adored episode 11. That said, the buildup in this episode makes me want to know why my darling Kaori is MIA. Also, that head bow. |
| FINALLY! after waiting for weeks shigatsu is back again! :) A new opening for the second half. It's good but i like the first one more. Damn! I didn't expect that to happen in the gala concert! The kid with the glasses is getting on my nerves! -_- I hope Kousei shows that kid who's boss. Loved the episode but felt kind of rush. anyway still 5/5 for this one! |

| That moment when Kaori's firework went out and she took Kousei's one was definitely symbolic.I can't help but think that bad things will happen in the end... Great episode, although as someone mentioned, i think art got worse.Hopefully it's going to get better again with next episode and so on.Now though...where's Kaori?! Also nice OP and ED. |

| WTH kind of cliffhanger was that O_o? Did something bad happen to Kaori? T^T Hope not! Her parents also didn't seem to be home either...Hopefully that means they're on the way. Loved the under water scene so much. Kousei just leveled up :3 So he's gonna use the "Can't hear notes" as a gift rather than a curse? That should be one awesome thing to see ^^ And I really want to know about his mother already :/ And damn this isn't even foreshadowing anymore >~< It's like they're telling us right in the face. Kaori won't even live til after graduation D: Oh also RIP Watari's babies XD twice in one ep lol Liked the prev OP more but this ED is better :3 |

| Ah, I've missed this series quite a bit since it didn't air during the holidays. Kaori beating the crap out of Kousei and bossing him around as per usual XD. Dem feelings doe T.T Damn... Kaori's father is probably going to beat Kousei... RIP dude... oh wait, he changed his attitude rather fast XD. Ah, her parents are fans of his eh... XD RIP Watari's manhood... So Kaori's not thinking about the future yet... damn... I hope that's not another death flag raised... Playing underwater while losing consciousness seems rather cool XD. Emi's getup was freaking hilarious to be honest. That's one annoying lil kid... Dear lord... we have to wait another weak to hear them playing or just Kousei play... |

| Curious about Kousei's performance, looking forward to it. I'm trying not to get attached to Kaori just in case she really ends up dying rather than miraculously being cured (I mean, looking at the heaps of medicine in a previous episode, she must be very ill). I-it's not like I like you or anything, baka. |

| I really Kaori is okay since she didn't show up and plus her phone was ringing and all which is really worrisome. I like the new OP but goose house's song is still more epic. And the new ED is awesome too I really like the animation and how it focuses on Kaori. Reminds me of Shippuuden ED 14. |

| Even the ED is a death flag now. Opening is good, but no Hikaru Nara. Ending very good. Also the fireworks scene was beautifully animated. |

| Well, I'm gonna quote that old man who is so fucking annoying, but... You're drowning, Kousei, ''it's no time for introspection''! Damnit, Kousei, be a bit more proud of your life! :O Kaori still waving her death flag... Dear god, have mercy. Also, I found it awfully cute that the pastry shop was named ''ma fille'', which can be traducted either by ''my girl'' or ''my daughter''. You can trust me, french is my native language ;) That new ED is also awfully sad, but the melody and the montage :( This will either end bittersweetly or sadly, I see no other possible end. That was cute from Emi. The young girl is in looooove :P Too bad, you're no main character :/ |

| I'm not sure if I like the new opening compared to the amazing original opening, but the new ending is pretty good. Also, look at my man Kousei steppin' it up at the end. I bet that new kid will be pretty important, since he sees music the way Kousei used to. |

| I miss the Goosehouse OP. This one is OK, but I lost one of my favorite part of each episode. :/ The new ED is pretty good; I think it's on par with the last ED. The more I listen to Taneda Risa, the more I don't think she's completely right for this role. Her yelling doesn't have a kick to it, but that might just be the drawing style looking more angry than she sounds. |

| At this point I am more curious about what disease (if any) they are going to come up with to explain this. Something that is almost certainly going to kill her (I find it hard to believe it isn't terminal...her personality doesn't seem to be the type to just concede that she is going to die and has no future unless it is truly hopeless), yet leaves her able to function fairly normally most of the time (she definitely isn't on chemotherapy or radiation, not with the energy she has and some of the reckless things she does that would definitely compromise a weakened immune system). I have no doubts at all at this point that she is going to die. |
| I was emotionless the whole time. I had a rapid heartbeat when she didn't show up and when they showed her parents store which was closed. I think thats the end of Kaori. Rest in peace |

Interval said: I think thats the end of Kaori. Too early for them to kill her off. She was likely rushed to the hospital for a medical emergency related to whatever it is that is killing her. Not to mention that if they had her die at this exact time, Arima isn't in a place mentally where he could handle it. I think the entire point of the story is going to be based around her helping him get over the loss of his mother and his feelings of guilt, which also requires him to be able to accept HER death without completely falling apart. If Kaori dies at this point in the story, Arima would probably be completely broken. |
