Puella Magi Madoka Magica: The Movie -Rebellion-
| It's been a while since I've seen a great Rebellion article but I just finished reading one that came out today. He analyzes the film by looking at Homura as a girl suffering from PTSD and what that does to her mental state. I think he raises some great points that are worthy of discussion. "I wish for a world where Homura can be happy, too. But it won't happen, not in the world of Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Because in Rebellion, her story is a tragedy: a broken girl who breaks the world, and only then realizes that nothing she does will soothe the pain. All Homura has done in Rebellion is set herself up for more pain. Because it's only during the pain, while trying to save Madoka, that she has any idea what she's doing. | I have always assumed Homura was a victim of PTSD anyway. As for the article is pretty well done though most of it is stuff I already felt about the film anyway. |
| That is a really deep, great way to put it. I never really thought of Homura as someone with PTSD but definitely someone mentally ill/unstable. The PTSD theory really makes a lot of sense though. Sigh, just thinking about Rebellion brings pain into my heart. :( |
