| ^Actually, that's a Type 10 and not a Challenger 2. Also, it is not allowed to be used in Tankery. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_10 As far as Girls und Panzer going from WWII-era tanks to modern tanks, I think it might not go there. The problem with modern tanks is that all of them are more dependent on electronic equipment like computers which makes accuracy to hit the target easy which defeats the competitiveness of Tankery wherein you're more dependent on the skills and teamwork of the tank crew to defeat the other team without the help of computers. We'll just have to wait for the movie to finally be released how will it don on the Japan box office and home video to see what's next for the GuP franchise whether it will continue on the anime side(the manga side so far still continues) or not. |

| HA! As a relatively new weeaboo, I've never truly had to go through a beloved franchise being milked dry and run into the ground before. BRING IT ON. I've been kind of dreading Das Finale anyway, GuP as it is now is the most perfect anime franchise I've ever seen and I have so little hope for it to stay that good going forward. | For me, the GuP franchise has been doing a fine job in keeping it alive and consistently good. Bandai Visual has been one of the production committee of this series since its inception so I'm keeping faith that they would not screw up. It's just that they bought the studio doing GuP so that they could handle its production properly since Actas had been known to experience production delays in the past with GuP but most especially on the last 2 series they worked on(Regalia: The Three Sacred Stars and Long Riders). Princess Principal doesn't count so far since it's a co-production with Studio 3Hz. |
