| Amazing episode! Poor Jet, learning the truth that his most trusted partner were deceiving him and killing him in the end. It really reminds me of Spike's past with Vicious and all. Now we've got two more episodes from Jet's past. Alice's relationship and Fad. Love these kind of episodes! Dark as hell and lots of deaths and killing. Can't wait for the next one! I hope the "Stand Alone" episodes will end in episode 20. So we could have the rest of the 6 episodes with "Complex" style regarding Spike :) Damn we're almost at the end! Can't wait for the next episode! |

| The story in this episode may be mediocre but Watanabe's directing and the awesome setting is what makes this anime cool. |

| The prison spaceship looks like an old Thompson machinegun. Nice touch in a mafia setting episode. Loved it :) Was expecting the other cop to be a traitor, what's with his face and all. Instead, he took the occasion to redeem himself. Excellent episode. |

| Awesome episode!! That opening scene was sickkk! That dudes a badass. and then how Botai sliced that dudes neck. was so fast, and looked cool with the blood floating all slow. Lol Edward just instantly expected Jet to not come back? I thought maybe Spike/Faye was gonna show up and save Jet at the end since they noticed he was gone and Ed said he wasnt coming back. But then I remembered it SHOWED his partner only load one bullet, and he already used it, so he didnt really need to be saved. Also, so technically, he didnt even need to kill Bodai since he admitted to it. Maybe he didnt want to police force knowing he set Jet up so he still silenced him knowing Jet wont say anything? Kinda odd way to repent, by tricking Jet into killing him. Thought it was a fun and cool twist though. I liked a lot of the scenes and "camera"/view angles, and how they showed/drew the bullet casings and the revolver his partner was using. It left me wondering at the end why it showed Jet put the gun down and his partner's hand back on top of the gun. I mean, I guess it makes sense so he doesnt arouse suspicion (since Jet initially picked up the gun and looked in the chamber- come to think of it, what made him think to do that??) but anyway, so the crime scene looked like how it was before... But why did they take the time too show us that? Left me questioning if it was supposed to be a clue or signify or something towards something else. Even re-watched it. But I think it was just to leave the scene normal. Kinda odd to show us as Im sure it made a lot of people wonder. Guess it was their way of saying Jet is gonna let the secret die with him? oh yeah, the prison ship looked like a tommy gun xD normally I dont like plane battles n shit but they definitely know how to make these spacecraft battles look good. |

| Jet also, underneath it's a very good person, perhaps they could tell something more about him, but I would not feel to reject the narrative, as between action and things of every day, the episode's vision is a pleasure. Poor Jet! Honesty is dead. Really excellent characterization that you're giving to the characters. |

| More backstory on Jet but this part was not so good as his ex-wife episode. The "plot twist" at the end was rushed and I didn't care about the character. |

| after last episode about fray, this one about jet really set him on more interesting part. half of me hoped that spike would jump to the scene, the other half hoped that jet will killed, so that end really was surprising. the series is only improving by each episode in this part, hope it will keep like this. |
| I like Jet, but this is probably one of my least favorite episodes so far. It just wasn't very interesting, and the plot twist felt somewhat rushed. |
| This ep had some strong noir vibes going on which I like. Wasn't expecting Jet's old partner to betray him like that. Udai's fighting style is pretty badass ngl. |

| Damn... So, in the end, Fad protected Jet by shooting him in the arm, thus making him quit the syndicate, since, with the way Jet was working he would end up being killed by them sooner or later... Heavy stuff. Plus, I loved seeing more of Jet. Great episode! |

Since Fad only loaded his revolver with a single bullet meant for Udai, he always liked Jet and was ready to die by his hand. By everything he said about how people who go against the syndicate always end up "quitting or dead", he forced Jet to quit by shooting his arm so that he wouldn't end up dead later. |

| That twist was unexpected that he was betrayed by his own companion and a sad ending to the ep with how he can't quit smoking :( |

| Nice to see a little bit of backstory on Jet, but the episode was quite predictable and boring overall. This show is getting mediocre again. |
| Remembered for real only the final scene of this episode, the "i knew i would have started smoking again" bit, and even in 2006 i thought already it was a little too overdramatic and heavyhanded. But... it ended yet another great episode. Great further background about Jet and a double twist that worked hard. And the prisoners screentime was frightening. Often i feel bad for replacing this series out of my top 10 favorites, it's just that i prefer other genres. But it just deserves its acclaim at 100%. |
