Baccano is alright and is probably worth a watch, but I'd rather recommend the Novels instead. The anime is alright for the most part, but due to the limited run time it doesn't get much time to spend of fleshing out a lot of characters (there's only a few that get any real development, at least until the 3 extra episodes which hits a few more), in a series that is all about the characters, but is still fairly enjoyable.

And if you haven't read the novels yet (and thus don't know how much infinitely better it could've been with 20-24 episodes instead of 13), and assuming you don't get easily confused, you'll probably enjoy it regardless of it's few short-comings.
