I speak English and Mandarin. Neither came first because I grew up speaking both, but I don't consider myself very fluent in Mandarin. I only speak it with family and my vocabulary is extremely limited. Can't read or write in Chinese either.

I also speak and understand a little bit of German, Taiwanese, and Japanese.

You know the basics from watching anime , I got the hang of it ,considering I am an Arab , pronunciation in Arabic uses almost all of the vocal cords (To my knowledge ) ,so I have confidence in getting the best pronunciation in Japanese if I ever learned it . But , of course I can't read Japanese nor write at the moment .
Funny, how I learned English like this, from games , shows with subs . However, now I understand like Japanese ,I am not in need of subs most of the time .

Others:

- English at a near-native level. At least I think and feel so, judging from how much I can understand and how easily I can express myself in it.

- Japanese around N4 (JLPT), currently learning it since it's my major. I'm way better at understanding the language (reading or listening) than speaking or writing in it. I can probably recognise about 500 kanji, but unfortunately I don't know all their readings, only 1 for a lot of them :/ I'll do my best though, because I like the language a lot :)

- Korean... well, I can read it :D I studied it for 1 year here in the university. But it was only like 1 lesson every week, so it didn't really get me anywhere. We had to choose either Chinese or Korean, so I chose the latter. I don't like the sound of either of them, but Korean seemed easier considering they only have like 20+ characters and there is no way I mix up the hanzi (chinese kanji) with the kanji I already know. I wanted to take it seriously if I'm learning it anyway, but I very quickly realized that the words just don't get stuck in my brain, mainly because of their not very clear sounds, the grammar wasn't very hard and it was a lot like Japanese. At least I can still read it and know some words :P I somewhat regret not picking up Chinese now, perhaps it would have been more useful, and I could have been together more with a girl I like :D

Considering that Canada's official languages are English and French, one can only assume that they speak French there...

Isn't Croatian basically the same language as Serbian/Bosian though, besides that the Serbs use the Cyrillic alphabet too?

I was just using your sense of doubt to point out that even if it were wrong, if you were living here that would be perfectly fine cause nobody gives a rats ass about French here, generally anyway. We learn it up to Grade 8 as mandatory curriculum, but even after I skipped the Grade 9 advanced classes and went straight to the Grade 10 advanced classes, they were still fucking around and not learning much. In other words, Quebec has a good reason to hate us imo

I passed the class with an 82 or something btw
