Looking for a romance/drama manga somewhere between light-hearted and mature. Maybe a school life shoujo with serious tones?

I've really enjoyed Ao Haru Ride, Orange, and Bokura ga Ita, but also things like Oyasumi Punpun, Nozoki Ana, and NANA.

No harem, but reverse harem is okay. Preferably newer because I generally don't like older art.

Didn't like the first two, watched the movie for Taiyou no Uta, and Orange Marmalade's style isn't my type, but I will check out the other two. Thank you.

I've tried to read Dengeki Daisy a few times. I might just need to sit down and force myself to get through it because it doesn't seem bad. Read the rest except Crazy For You so I'll check it out, thanks.

I've tried Faster Than a Kiss and Last Game but couldn't get into either. I'll try FtaK again though. Watched Full Moon. The others seem interesting. I realized I started two of them before and I might continue. Thanks for the great suggestions!

My favorites

Hirunaka no Ryuusei (I love this one, not common shoujo female protagonist. I love the art and character design. Yeah! Shishio lol)

Koe no katachi (Do NOT click the spoler button, somehow real spoiler

P to Jk (adorable characters, funny but not silly funny. Like joking with friends kind of comedy)

Horimiya (adorable story and characters)

Others: (similar art to HnR) sample art:

Chibi chou chou
Nijiiro days
Strobe edge

Yonari no atashi (Young girl likes older guy, but idk if you consider the art as "old")

These actually all sound pretty good. It's usually hard for me to get into fantasy when it's shoujo, so I'll leave those out, but the rest sound great, thanks!

Tonari no atashi

I've read or am reading most of these, and I think I started Tonari no Atashi at some point? But I'll check out P to JK when I'm in the mood for something cute. Thank you. :)

I like fantasy and I like shoujo, but for some reason I can't get into it when it's both at the same time. I either want one or the other. I'm not sure why, really.

There's a pretty wide variety of different shoujo out there, though.
