Found the premise:
The story of the original light novels and manga revolves around high school girl Eruna Ichinomiya, who enters the Mikagura Academy dreaming of a boarding school life filled with beauty. However, Eruna finds out that in the culture clubs, there is a rule that battles that are fought with special powers decide a club representative's treatment. Through various circumstances, Eruna becomes a representative of a club, and is thrown into the fray.

I bet Shaft will adapt this. Hoping for some decent OST or songs at least. I wonder if this will debut next April. My bet is on Summer or maybe Fall though.

I checked out their music after hearing this announcement. I think it's pretty well composed, but I don't think good music alone is enough to save the rest of this idea...

Oh hey, it's the series Tumblr's crazy for! (from what I've seen)
So simply, vocaloid songs + music school + music battles = this series.
Eh, it doesn't sound that interesting. Might watch if I don't have anything else to do.

Here's what Vocaloid wiki describes the series:

The Mikagura School Suite is a a boarding high school, where each of the students must join an after-school activity club. The representatives of the clubs then battle between each other with their special abilities, and the results of these battles influence school life of all of the club members. The school only allows clubs of the cultural type.

The story begins with Ichinomiya Eruna, who is a freshman at Mikagura High School, and shows her first days at new school and how she interacts with various other students which all belong to a different school club.

The guide book given to all new students, which Eruna carries, reveals several school rules:

1. All freshmen must join one extracurricular activity club within one month. Any student that does not do so will be expelled.

2. If you wish to create a new club, it will only be accepted if you have three members. However, the school only admits cultural activity clubs.

3. The tournaments that are held at fixed intervals will determine the rank of all the clubs existing in the school. The ranks will influence the clubroom assignments in the dormitories for all club members, their food, and other similar school life matters. The tournaments will be judged solely by the teachers.

That's one of the most successful new author from those last years.
Logical to see his series being adapted into anime.
Now, I absolutely don't know what the LN is worth.

Yes, this is yet another Vocaloid adaptation that might not turn out too well, but at least more Vocaloid producers are getting exposure. The songs are good, even if the story may not hold up on its own.

The art did remind me of Nozaki-kun, Dogakobo adapting it makes sense, let it come.

Super hyped!
I love this song series and I have been wanting to read the manga.
Surprised a lot of people dislike this news... Feels like people are to quick to judge.

One thing though... The series itself is fairly short atm with only 5-6 songs within the series. Mekakucity Actors had 20+ and the adaption came out bad.
Hope the buffer content is good.

Oh, the Caligraphy Club has the best character if this series! Though I hope her design stays more like the music videos. I personally prefer the art of the music videos to what the character designs look like for the anime.

The keyword is 'Light Novel'. And we're in MAL, where people like to assert their 'right' opinions on a series based on what little information is available to them.

Scratch what I said about the amount of songs
Found out that one more song is dropping in December and an album with 11 songs for each main character is dropping in Febuarary.

Anime is an extremely transparent medium. The information on this is more than enough to be able to judge it.
