Hiroya Oku's Gantz science-fiction action manga will be adapted into two live-action films starring Kazunari Ninomiya (Tekkonkinkreet, Letters from Iwo Jima) of the Arashi musical group and award-winning actor Ken'ichi Matsuyama (Death Note, Detroit Metal City, NANA, The Legend of Kamui). Shinsuke Sato (The Princess Blade, Suna-dokei, Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror) is directing. The film as a budget of 4 million yen, or $45 billion dollars. This could either be really good, or really bad. Let's hope for the former. I'm back. |

I just fixed it and I just don't know if it'll turn out great, because Japanese cinema has never been good CG heavy live action movies and Gantz would require a lot of CG. Heck, just look at the amazing CG in the recent 20th Century Boys movie. ^_^ Modified by Master_M2K, 05-11-10, 5:39 AM |

Off topic, but don't you think Gantz would make a perfect mmorpg? I'm not really into those kinds of games but if they made a Gantz one, I would definitely play it. |

So now they're saying they're going to have the first movie in theaters in America first. |
