| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This is like watching a horror movie for Kousei. He is actually playing well though imo and I think part of that is thanks to Kaori and the way she encouraged him in the beginning. Definitely an improvement from before, Kousei. Well played Kousei. I think the others can feel his feelings coming from that piano. Good performance. |

| First half with hurrible piano performance, giving up in the middle, then second half with restarting and thinking about the performers' performance, especially violinist girl. Everyone's eventually awed. 25:40 next. |

| Never thought they would add violin to the piano. I wanted just the piano, since last episode I really didn't like them adding percussion to the piano, but the violin accompaniment harmonized better than I thought so I didn't mind it at all. Was looking around and found the "third version" that Kousei played resembled this rendition (starting from about 1:00): And THAT 3D effect as Kousei played. One of the most creative ways of portraying what the anime said about there being "3 different people in Kousei." The performance had the same reverberation that it had on the characters in the audience, and that's really hard for an anime to do. Jolly good show! |

| He crashed and burned but then recovered at the end. He's still dealing with the demons from his mother though even after finishing the performance. And that smile by Emi at the end... Perfect. |

| That performance was really something. Kousei's being like an ever-changing storm that has finally resided and found equilibrium! Managing to stop, drown and being unable to hear his own music to finding his new found passion of music. Quite the powerful scene on how that there is only one thing that truly matters to him. How he played out his feelings at the end was really nice. I felt this episode left me in awe. |

Really beautiful :*) Loved how the audience was totally mesmerized not even realizing he finished until a few seconds later XD The thing that totally caught me off guard was his mom's smile at the end. | I NEED TO KNOW WHO'S THE SEIYUU OF THAT LADY AT THE END OF THE EPISODE! Nice to see Arima getting back to his feet! Now, let's focus on the romance development. I still don't think his mother would smile. |

| Wow, what a transformation. At first I thought it would just play out like the last time, but boy was I wrong. His performance after stopping was simply spectacular. I think it most definitely reached her, Kousei, though you didn't seem too sure. |

| All I can say is a wonderful/great adaptation! The Playing of the Piano and Music with Visuals was really Perfect! Even if he messed up midway and stopped playing he continued again because Kaori won't forgive him, she's really ruthless! I don't know If I should look forward for the next episode because I already knew what was the result of the competition, But It can't be helped they are just adapting the manga perfectly. | I was just starting to wonder why I used to really look forward to this show every week, but after watching this episode I feel like I don't have to question that again. I don't really have a specific reason for why this one was so good, but I was probably just as mesmerized as the audience watching it. Hopefully it doesn't start going downhill from here; I'll stick with it either way! |

| Falling and coming right back up again. Good job Kousei! Everyone was mesmerized by his restart performance. Even to the point of crying. Ah~ Second half of the episode was just beautiful ;) |

| Ah, he pretty much confessed his love for Kaori in front of everyone. And does this mean he overcame his trauma? And with his mom smiling, it goes nothing with what was shown before, but whatever. Hoping his playing style isn't always going to be super sweet, but more powerful like his rivals :) and best part of this show are the rivals so i hope it'll be more about them in the future and not about romance and his friendsss. |

| hm.. it was alright. it felt like it was just one stop short from being 10/10 material. it feels like something is missing. i dont like how arima just suddenly felt like it was all over, looks up towards the ceiling and then suddenly everything just 'clicks' and realize, oh... this new girl is pretty amazing; my life, my being will now be devoted towards her. i mean i can already see how this will pan out. she'll die or get hospitalized, he'll be emo/suicidal and then we're back to square one. sigh. why couldnt it be an internal realization to move on for his own sake, to play for his own sake, not because he realizes that he found a new person to dedicate his life to. this anime so far might be in my top 5 favourites. hopefully it'll surprise me and not be predictable. |

| I'm not a big fan of this show (I've read the translated chapters of the manga too) but this episode was really hard for Arima. He couldn't handle it and just stopped. His trauma really is something harsh. If you watch it from the perspective of the audience, he managed to recover himself and do a good play. But inside he was trying to overcome his trauma, using Kaori as an excuse to overcome it. I don't like the fact he chose Kaori for this, I don't like her character, but he made that decision since he loves her. I don't think he's done with it but he made a step in the right direction. Emi surprised me, she was able to "see" through, the feelings of the room where Arima plays, that was a bit weird though. After he played both teachers (Emi's and Takeshi's) reacted to his play, they saw something different in it. 3/5 as always. |

| "Oh my god slow pace!" "Where's the whole performance" Lmao. Amazing episode 10/10 as always xD I honestly believed that this is like the final ending due to how amazing this episode is. Then I take a good look and there's 10+ episodes left whooo. I might even call this Anime a masterpiece by the end of this series if they can maintain these kinds of episode. |
