| Light is incredibly vain, and thinks he's invincible, and he's not far off from the truth. Lelouch, however is a more grounded person, and has more personal connections to the people around him. That makes him both weaker and stronger, but in a game of chess, I'd go with Lelouch since light is likely to underestimate Lelouch. But then again, code geass doesn't seem to run on logic so... |

| For me Light seems smarter. Lelouch was saved many times by outside variables that were out of his control. However, Lelouch's intellect is more suited for a game of chess so I would have to say Lelouch. |

| lelouch coz from the start it was shown that he was already a great chess player before meeting CC. while light is prolly as smart as lulu, but he only evolved or changed after getting DN from ryuk. |
