tsubasalover said:It was revealed on the wraparound jacket band for the third manga volume of Rokka no Yuusha that an anime adaptation has been green-lit. The original light novel series is written by Kei Toru that made its debut in summer of 2011.
Author is Yamagata Ishio, not Kei Toru. Kei Toru is the manga adaptation author.
Now, I don't know if I should rejoice or not. This is a complicate dfeeling... I'd like to jump around and rejoice but at the same time I can't believe that it's going to go well.
There are high chance that the anime will follow the manga because the LN has chara designs and so on which don't look manga-ish at all.
All in all, the manga version looks far more like something that would get an anime adaptation (not only in the designs, but in the changes in the story as well) than the LN. And I mean that in a bad way ;x. Well, the manga isn't far away so they'll have to use the LN afterward, but if they take the manga route right from the start some stuff aren't going to be the same at all afterward either :x.
And yeah, if they actually follow the LN properly and take the time to make a faithfull adaptation, then the news is great. If they adapt the manga instead, then I could care less and they can go to hell with their adaptation of that thing.
BTW, the animation will probably adapt either 3 or 5 volumes imo. Finishing where the 4th volume ends would be a bit.. Cruel, I'd say.

You can be sure that it's going to happen, alas.
so as I read the word 'light novel' a few questions come to mind:
are most the heroes actually girls in skimpy clothing? is there one male hero that makes all the cicks fall for him?
One of the girl has a bit of a skimpy clothing, others are either in armor or priest garments.
No harem, there's only a little bit of romance in there. main characters are 5 women/girls and 3 men. One of the woman is married and have a child.
TGURNEU. SMASH. CONFIRMED.
Alright, looked up some more names.
My vote goes to "Hans Humpty" for best name 2014. I bet he's going to shout attack names in broken german~
Tgurneu isn't a human. As for Hans, it's a mix of Touhokuben and cat-speech patterns. Last time I went in Germany, they weren't talking like that at all.
Hmmmm, that pose on the cover isn't the most inviting.
You probably saw the manga covers rather than the LN though~ If that was the third volume cover in the pic showing the anime confirmation, that character is so far away from the original design that I almost didn't recognize her... Here is the original design : http://cdn.myanimelist.net/images/characters/3/214749.jpg
I really fear that they're going to make heavy changes, hugh...>_<
