Oh my Kira, it sucked.
It was just pointless and boring. Well, after all, what can you expect from a one shot focused on Near?

I have to agree about that.
It was too...moralising, somehow? Yes, Light was strong enough to assume the moral "responsibility" (if you can call it that) of killing thousands, and this guy was obviously not. But I think someone who would react that badly would not have had the strength to start using the Death Note in the first place. On the other hand, reality is sometimes weirder than fiction.

Maybe it's been too long since I finished the original, but the characters in this just really seemed ooc. Also, nothing really happened.

And the last panel seemed like it was implying Ryuk killed him, but I don't know...

yeah kinda lame shoulda made misa and the kira cult have something to do with it
