This is a little early to be asking, but I in the middle of going through my plan to watch, seeing which is dubbed and isn't, so I thought, what the heck.

Ok, for now, how is the series going over in Japan. Has there been any criticism, or have there been good remarks?

I saw there have only aired the first three episodes, but even so, the full season would have been aired by two months.

And for the future. If the series is a hit over in Japan, using an educated guess, will there be a dubbed? I know about reverse importation, and the general rule of thumb is an anime won't be dubbed until 12-18 months after the last volume of the series is released in Japan.

The full season is 12 episodes. Unless there's some really weird airing schedule involving multiple episodes per week, the series will finish airing around the end of December. That's three months, not two.

For the future, it depends on which distributor acquires the home video rights for Trinity Seven. Some distributors always do dubs. Some never do dubs. Some will only do dubs if they can afford it, if there is enough interest, etc. This is also under the assumption that it does get licensed in the first place. While a handful of series do get licensed during their original TV airing, some series never get licensed, or only get licensed years after they aired.

Also, I don't think the dub has any impact on reverse importation. The Japanese usually don't care about dubs. What they want is the Japanese language track. So if they reverse import, it'll be because it's available on DVD/BD in a format they can play and is cheaper than in Japan. The presence of, to them, foreign language dubs is irrelevant. It does make sense for outside markets like the US and other major consumers of anime to have to wait 12-18 months before those releases come out, though. Just. The dub part itself is not a factor aside from how long it takes the distributors to produce the entire thing for their market.

I prefer dubbed, when I try read subs I miss the scene, or only just see the end of the scene.

Oh I know of this, I just know, well at lease as far as I've scene in Australia, that all dvd's and blu ray release in dub, always has duel language, with the other language being Japanese of course. But thank you for all the information, I never knew all of that (the first and second paragraph)

Pretty sure its well within the top 10, possibly top 5(if not, then only slightly out of it) watched this season.

Awww, I watched it subbed in March and only just got around to watching OVA subbed, I didn't think it was getting a dub, but then again looking at the clip they released of it, think I preferred the sub of this one.
