When someone reminded you, in any negative way, about being a NEET, what mood of music do you tend to listen to?

I want to add a small (hopefully continuous) fun activity for anyone running into this topic in the club.

Post a song here that can be interpreted to a NEET/hikikomori's perspective. It could be from any genre & language.

A video with lyrics are preferred, but not necessarily required.

So I guess I'll start.

Cool. I like Crumbling & Hikikomori. Keep it coming! :)

I guess I'll go again then. (._.)

Lyrics in its description.

I personally prefer the nightcored version. (Well, maybe that's because I listened to it first, lol.)

This video's description has some very interesting insights/side notes.

My favorite English cover for Lost One no Goukoku.

And any other NHK OSTs. Most times, as long as I can relate to the lyrics, I listen to it. But for tune, sometimes normal paced, sometimes slow paced.

Now I mostly listen to anime music or games OST (Touhou recently), but until a while ago I was really into depressing/angry music (more the former actually), like Black Metal and that kind of stuff, but any genre would have done as long as the song had sad themes (except love asd)

really loved these one

I enjoy Norwegian Black Metal, Atmospheric Black Metal and Suicidal Black Metal but its rare for me to understand the lyrics haha Otherwise id post some.

Here is some rap instead since why not xD

Sadly Eyedea isnt alive anymore though. he had committed suicide.

the lyrics of that song are quite nice but unfortunately rap is not really my thing

yeah lyrics might be a problem since a lot of Black Metal bands come from Norway/Swedish whatever, but there are many cool bands that sing in English as well, and anyways there are often fan-made translation on the web
with lyrics, this one was really nice
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apnEygK7KaQ

and one from lifelover
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8mWH7reefQ

but ok since I dont wanna make the thread too depressing here another amazing song, way happier but hikkyish as nothing else if you ask me
only god knows my love for meruru-chan

Lifelover <3

and I meant I have trouble understanding the lyrics by ear on a lot of songs even if in English because of vocal styles used and being drowned out by guitars.

Dont know why I didnt hear this song before since it seems pretty popular. Lyrics fit this thread so.

I like some of Lifelovers stuff not necessarily all. I also like Forgotten Tomb if you know that.

I like that kind of music i that OP but not in Japanese since it feels less effective to read subtitles xD

lots of vocaloid songs are good fits it seems. I found an english one that actually sounds decent. Usually they suck a bit.

I tend to listen to what I like, no matter the genre, but I think this song represents NEET, as the anime is about a NEET.

Not in
Education
Employment or
Training

Tomoko is not a NEET, because she goes to school. She has social anxiety though so its still relate able. The OP song is pretty fun. Lyrics do fit yeah.
http://www.animelyrics.com/anime/watamote/watamote.htm

I like the ED 1 song "Dou Kangaete mo Watashi ga Waruku Nai " | "No Matter How I Look At It, It's Not My Fault!" too

I will post the other version of the song which I think is called "Watashi ga Motenai no wa Kawaiku Nai kara yo ne? " | "I'm Not Popular Because I'm Not Cute, Isn't It So?". The lyrics are a little different since its Yuu's perspective. But OMG this version is so relaxing Hanazawa Kana has such a lovely voice. Its still relatable for some people I would think. I cant find a translation of the lyrics for this version anywhere but based off of what I got from comments on it and a bad web traslation I made its about not being liked because of her looks so she tried to be cute to fit in so people can accept her and having to struggle with keeping up the façad because shes is the same unpopular person only she's just having to hide it.

I know Forgotten T. but I've never listened to them deeply, I read lyrics once and I didn't like what I read (smthg love-related)
but I was really into that genre until a while ago

and Watamote <3 opening is just epic
often listen to the one in ep.10, with her screaming at the beginning
how can something be so epic?

This thread is so depressing. The music here hits really close to home. They all sound like stuff I listen to when I was in my teens.

Nowadays when I'm feeling down, I listen to happier music usually around the theme of freedom and self acceptance. Feel free to pm me for my Spotify playlist.

Avicii - The Nights
Avicii - Hey Brother
Ed Sheeran - What do you know
XO Cupid - True colors
Eminem - Beautiful
Eminem - Not afraid
Ava Max - So Am I

Well the thread isn't exactly about music someone listens to when down but as the OP states music that sounds like it is from the perspective of a hikikomori or neet. Few would have stable positive views of their circumstances so it's understandable it would look like this. You're welcome to make a thread for uplifting people with music if you like.
