I found the animation to be a little bizarre too. o_O Maybe it was some style they were going for? I'm starting to really like cat-chick and dolphin-chick, or whatever sea creature the blue one is supposed to be. xD |

Yeah, the animation was weird and really tuned down the coolness of the episode but I still liked it. |

The animation was bad? WHAT?? This had the smoothet and highet budgeted animation so far most likely! I freaking loved it. Shit this was on par with the bests of Naruto, Bleach or One Piece! The commenter fox-girl fished out the juri girl out of danger! That was so cute in a perverted way :p Anyway, episode KIKCKED SO MUCH ASS it's crazy! Bui was an insane oponent, but Hiei's technique was even more insane. It was really a fight of a different level. And it's ridiculous the amount of spectators that are killed in this tournament xD I wouldnt want a ticket for something like this!  |

But anyway you are half right, It's not the animation is the artwork. Most people can't get threw their thick heads what the difference between animation and artwork is. ye is. Cheap work is cheap wok though. You can't go dropping the artwork quality to shit so it's easier to draw a few frames more and pretend that you made awesome animation. That's cheap work. The animation was what they were trying to aim for, back than. It looks crappy to us now, but it was top notch back than. Hiei such a tsundere moe character.  |
