 The 46th issue of Young Jump, which will release on Thursday, will start serializing a Tokyo Ghoul sequel, titled Tokyo Ghoul: re. The anime's second season will also be officially announced in the same issue. It will be aired in Winter 2015. This isn't a series likely to ever get a remake, despite its success, imo. So most fans are just glad to see some of the future events animated, which there are quite a few awesome ones. |

Knowing it would eventually continue anyway would have made a lot of subtle hints unnecessary and obvious. So increased shock value was surely another reason. |
