I thought he died... but apparently not. Poor lady; memory loss and losing her husband. :( |

That ending was still sad when the mother still set up a 3rd spot with food, but at least the mother still remembers her son by the end of the episode if only for that time. It's official. Guren no Yumiya is the Japanese version of Guile's theme. |

Aleka said: Almost at the beginning of the episode is was of the impression that the father died and that the mother didn't had the courage to tell his son. After that the mushi appeard in her head and she forgot about it. Turns out the heartless baster was having a new live with a new family. Well it was a rather beautiful episode. Still, I was surprised that even Ginko couldn't do nothing about that mushi. |

"Ignorance is bliss" fits perfectly for the mother in the case of her husband. I really feel sorry for her son who has to worry about her on a daily basis. Especially since there's a possibility that his mother may run out of memories and even forget her own son. |

What a downer of an ending. Memory loss is a real tough subject since it affects so many people in real life, and to see the way this episode finished was really difficult. It's how she and her son have to live now, and they both seem able to accept and handle it, but it's not how anyone should have to live. One of the best episodes all told, but a sad ending. |
