I'm a big fan of Saiyuki. I've watched each season and each movie around five times, but I can never get enough. When I discovered Saiyuki Gaiden, I freaked out and kept reading it till dawn. And when I finished the last available scanlated chapter of Saiyuki Gaiden, I cried because it was so sad - so sad, but so worth it, and it showed me a lot about their pasts all over again.

So to finally have an OVA come out on Saiyuki Gaiden - honestly, I was expecting it for a while now, but I'm glad that they finally decided to reel it in. I'm sure to cry more tears when it comes out.

I cracked a rib screaming with joy when I heard it finally got the green light!!!! :D and as for the gaiden, sadly all the replies saying that the gaiden is better...? It's totally true.
