| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Damn, Matsutarou is in a bad shape this episode. I feel sorry for the guy honestly. Yet despite his condition, I like this guy's determination to fight. I suppose the finale covers his end journey as a sumo wrestler. Well, I thought the match was intense. The show is over now and imo, this series definitely had memorable moments. 7/10. |

| Seriously, they get our hopes up with Reiko and then she becomes his ultimate downfall wth. Horrible ending. Probably won't have a second season so I wish I could read the manga at least... Hard to leave it where it is. |

| Highly disappointing ending if that was the series ender. If there is another season, then that ending could be used as a huge tool for character development. I can't find the manga for it anywhere. Anyone know where I can get it? I'd really not like to leave this story here. I hated the guy at the start, but he grew on me over the course of the series. Can't let it go out like that |
| I was a bit puzzled why he was so hurt. I mean, he's beaten up those guys plenty of times before without even trying. And he put up a great fight despite the injuries. 6/10. A couple good episodes, especially the latter half but overall eh. |

| It was just a cliffhanger ending. I didn't read the manga, but I bet the same happened there.... Only that it continued >_< I don't think the manga is translated, is it? I give it a 6/10, there were some lame episodes, some good. I liked the style and that it wasn't that cliché. Hoping for season 2. |
| Honestly surprised people are hating on this ending. I mean the manga of this show is 36 volumes long. 23 episodes could never cover all of it so this is obviously not the ending of the whole series. I'm honestly fine with it. Now there's just hoping for a 2nd season, but I'm kind of doubtful that will happen. I liked it while it lasted, 8/10. |

Overall it was a decent and entertaining anime. I like the bittersweet ending as it was not cliché and it somehow felt right. He had to lose at some point and now he can move on. |

| Not sure how to rate this. I felt like I got nothing out of this show but at the same time, it wasn't that terrible as a whole and had a few good episodes here and there. I wish it had been more like a real sports anime where a character grows and becomes a better person through the sports but this was mostly like a comedy/parody/episodic show. The protagonist was a huge douche throughout the entire show and even the side characters (Tanaka namely) were more interesting. |
| So close to being good quite a few times, a big surprise after that piece of crap that was the first episode. The meh outweighed the bad, which outweighed the good, and on it's way out we can't even get a decent ending with everyone giving up on Matsutaro through no fault of his own(for once). 4/10 If there was a sequel I would probably still watch it however just to get this horrible ending out of my mouth. |

| I'm usually quite generous with scores ... but I give it a 9/10 I've always considered it more like a kid show that came out right from the 70/80, the show was quite amusing overall with some really good episodes now and then. I liked seeing the slow progress of Matsumatro becoming a little more mature bit by bit. And that final episode, man I seriously want to see more |
| The ending certainly surprised me, it wasn't what I wanted but it wasn't that bad either, the only bad thing is that it is a cliffhanger and we'll never know what happens since no one is translating the manga and this show will not get a second season. Damn you Reiko!! |

| WTF is that end, he loses, Reiko left and... that's all, well it was pretty disappointing to be honest, I expected a wrestling seinen anime like the tag said but after all it was more like Slice of Life, Comedy, Shounen :/ the series felt like a big filler |
