| This changed my opinion of the series, after what i thought was a very weak start. Although Shinji is one of the most annoying characters I've ever encountered, the fighting and general atmosphere were really good, so i'll definitely continue with it. |

| lol, wtf Shinji is nowhere nearly as annoying as he's supposed to be - yet. So was that Shinji controlling the giant robot when it started owning or was it acting independently? The chick with blue hair is hot :D |

| Haha. My favorite part about watching this is how I don't find Shinji to be near as annoying as I'm apparently supposed to. Perhaps with time, yes, but all of the people pulling the "WIHDGJKSDG HE'S SO ANNOYING" shit one, two episodes in seem like they are just trying emulate what they've seen people who have completed the series say. I'm js. |

| that is a rather... sick fight. Did Eva freaking bleed? He stab angel as if he's trying to murder it... and in the end, he have an eye... Eva 01 is not an ordinary robot is it.... Again, Eva bleed.... and scream... How is Shinji annoying? So far, he reacted quite reasonably, I mean, he's a 14 year old boy who got force into a battlefield. |

| This episode was quite awsome. I loved the idea of showing the rest of the fight at the end of the episode as a flashback. First I was a bit confused about what happened, but it was actually reasonable. The animation was also great~ Loving this series so far~ |

| What the fuck? Are you telling me that robot is alive? You telling me that it can act on its own? If so then how come it needs Shinji to operate? It is obviously stronger and more operational if Shinji is not controlling it since all Shinji does is complain, lol. Seriously though, that was a pretty good concept. Evangelion also has a personality, nice. Episode was a little slow but I guess we need those kinds of episodes to help settling the mood. Now we know that Evangelion is a living form. We also know that Misato is a one hot mama. |

| I'm liking the show quite a bit so far. It seems Gendou knew exactly what he was doing by putting Shinji in the Eva, because it freakin' obliterated that Angel (though I wonder how much Shinji actually did). Also, Misato promises more fanservice, which is nice. |

| I really like this anime so far, i even watched this and the first episode right after each other. The animation is great, the music is great, the story and characters seem interesting, i dont know why so many people hate this anime. Is it the penguin? Because i love the penguin! (This is Gainax after all, there's bound to be some weirdness) And LOL at people finding Shinji annoying! How would you feel if you suddenly got dragged to visit your jerk scientist father and you were ordered, without a gesture or anything, to get in a huge weird looking mech and fight a scary alien that's blowing everything up with everyone looking at you to succeed? He's just a kid, give him a break. He does seem to have some special abilities though, like with the robot trying to protect and fight for him obviously. It reminds me of Gurren Lagann (yes i watched that first) where the main mech wes also alive - Sort of. |
| Nice episode, was a bit confusing in the middle, but the ending made up for that, quite nice power but is the robot part organic or something? Or did that boy had that power all by him self? Either way nice second episode, lets see what's next! |

| Thoughts from Episode 02. So it looks like you need to focus a lot to control Eva's power like Shinji did when he tried to walk with it. Seeing Misato already thinking about Shinji's her lover. I can almost tell that they will have important connection in this anime. And I can understand why Shinji was so down good thing he got to live with Misato so he don't need to be alone. But seriously that apartment :DD Misato is sure really organized person. But oh man that penguin guy was pretty cool like he just opened door and Shinji's like what's happening. PenPen or whatever his name was. And Shinji is also remembering his bad memories that has something to do with his father and Rei Ayanami. This will probably get's clear up into later episodes. So now we know at least what's Gendo is after something called "Inhuman Project" and he will most likely will get more people interested on it. Those NERV guys seems really scary like they thoughts and when they spoke. "The New Tokyo-3" so this one is area where Shinji were fighting against that angel and protected it. The thing why that thing is so secured is there something secret on there because they need Shinji to protect it. Hmm Eva's looks like they could be humans too. I mean that frightening screams and going berserk I am more and more interesting about them. And we even got know some Angel weapons like AT fields. Electronic fields that put like wall between two. Eva's are really strong also. Like surviving that blast unharmed it's like it's perfect mecha robot. When that Eva opened it's eye it seems like it was living like organic. It's kind of frightening too. But what Shinji actually saw in that eye?? |

| hmm so the eva is organic? I like all the "shots" or angles they view some of the scenes from. animation isnt bad for '96. and its gainax xP i like how they portray the 4 nerve guys as all creepy. i dont think shinji is bad so far, ive seen a lot more annoying protags. the potential is great so far, glad Im finally watching this. also, back to back christian symbolism when the Eva shot that beam and it went cross like and the explosion right afterwards was also a cross. |

| For those who do not know the christian symbolism was just put in there because it was foreign. I believe Anno is on record somewhere as saying if he knew how popular eva would be in the west he would have used something different. Islamic symbolism maybe? :D |
