The first two volumes arrived to me today, actually.

One key difference comparing my old and new volume one; there are more chapters in the new edition. 11 in the new volume, to the 7 in the old.

The new covers are especially nice too. A lovely matt finish. They're match the Kabu No Isaki volumes very nicely.

Another thing I forgot to mention. I got the YKK novel too. To my suprise at the end of the book is the 'Touge' concluding chapter of the manga that wasn't in volume 14, before. I wonder if it'll be in the final volume of these new prints.

Oh wow are these just coming out?

I've been meaning to pick up the entire series from a used book store but haven't seen them anywhere.. these might be worth buying new. How much are they selling for?

Oh man, do want. Sadly I'll probably be forced to import them, no manga/anime store here is going to run them.

Incidentally, just got my first three volumes today, and I'm wondering, does the paper feel especially thin to anyone else? Maybe I just don't have enough experience with Japanese import manga--I do vaguely feel like they might use thinner paper--but it does make them feel a bit more fragile.

Of course, no real other complaints, especially since I can actually get these from a retailer and not some guy on Japanese Amazon, but they are missing the little 4-koma things on the inside of the old covers, which is just a little bit sad, but I guess that's what scans are for.

Where can you buy these from and how much do they cost to import?

Well, all the usual places for Japanese manga, so Sasuga, possibly Kodansha, Acclimate Solutions (who ship directly from Japan, so they don't inflate their prices from shipping but the shipping cost is high, it all kind of balances out), or even places like Play-Asia, sometimes. Sasuga and Acclimate Solutions are the traditional places for getting YKK in particular though, the others might just be more feasible than they used to be since these editions just came out.

just got the tenth (and final) volume of the new edition and I can confirm that "Togue" is included at the end of the volume.

It's 10 volumes with good quality paper, colour pages, the lot ... each book retails at 638 Yen.
If you live abroad and don't want to pay Amazon shipping charges, try the White Rabbit service, they're good!
