Supposedly, there has been a drastic change in the moderation of 4chan. Moot seems to have enacted a much stricter form of censorship, which has angered many. Some of the new moderators are apparently social justice warriors (SJWs) that have been banning people at an alarming rate and censoring a good deal of posts, causing people to consider abandoning 4chan for good.

For years m00t's been taking care of his own life and stopped giving many fucks to 4ch.
This time it's just this SJW crap going on /v/ because ...well, they're all fgts.
It's the inevitability of a fast changing internet community, and the ones to blame are the mainstream media and stuff like this that attracted undesired attention to the site (Not to mention the income of turds after the celeb pic leaks). It happened on the past, i.e: exploding party van, raids/invasions, hackers on steroids, etc. The only difference is that this time, due to the site's popularity, lot of random dumb rumors start to spread.
Nothing that really affects /a/, tbh.

And what leddit is rumbling about isn't really the real point of the subject.
Now excuse me while I go do my seppuku for explaining things on MAL.
