| Thread Moved. Moved from the series board to Creative Corner. @hoppurr: I like the idea and how it looks like. But the border and writing on the coin look a bit too unsharp, especially when you compare it to the face in the middle, so that's something I'd try to improve. |

It is too artificial. I think the coin was part of the stock image and not something he had control over anyway. I'd throw a scratched steel plate texture on top of the face. The contrast on the face is also too low. Looking at the etchings around the coin theres quite abit of 70%+ black, whereas on the face it only reaches about 50%. Its an awesome idea and pretty well executed, especially if its by a novice as you say. You'll get better for sure as your eyes get used to seeing images as rasters instead of the objects they're depicting. |
