Should I read it if I've watched the anime?

So bascially I'd like to know:
1. Has story in manga progressed much since the last anime iteration?
2. If I already watched the anime and remember the story quite well (I guess), is it still worth to read it from the beginning? Are there any differences?
3. If you both read and watched it, which one did you prefer - anime or manga?

1. I don't remember much of how the anime ended, but I think it has progressed quite a bit.

2. I believe there were some part that were left out from the manga. Mainly the development of Sasahara and Ogiue.

3. I preferred both
