Now for something unrelated to the main plot. On the cover art for this chapter, if you look to the right of the duckling line behind Robin. There's a little duckling away from the group which seems to resemble a certain swordsman with a bad sense of direction we all know and love.

Had a feeling it was going to be either Whitebeard or Ace. Actually kind of glad it wasn't Ace though but I still hope Whitebeard will be ok. Tis but a flesh wound after all.

EDIT: Didn't Flamingo and Crocodile "team up" before? They're probably pulling strings and that should explain why WB got attacked by that guy.

WB was assulted by ace over and over and over again and ace failed

look at wb chest i think some of those cuts are a bit more lethal then that middle of chest... both sides if he hasnt been stabed in the heart yet im shocked

we have seen him here on the battle field but he so far just made comments and we didnt see any action

hes a quake man? how can he be so powerful? maybe he can do quakes in himself and aviod dmg? idk talking out of my @$$ this is a big shock he hasnt fought yet

then again what if this is some way he gets serious? and ppl are saying what to the fact that he will be fighting?

i doubt he'll die from that or even stop fighting from that

ok im new to this but i remb seeing this raw pic of whitebeard and dragon talking to each other and kuma was standing next to whitebeard.
i think the dude who stabbed wb was working under dragon since we still dont know if luffy dad is enemy with wb or not. and clearly to make this more interesting
they ben talking about dragon that he was behind all the big events so... yea

I also expected this - great move by Oda. I mean, you get the sense that things turned up a notch, with the Kuma destruction and the matchups nearing conclusion, plus Buggy's smart plan (w/c I didn't see at all). Then WB comes near the end, you everyone thinks that it's time for some badassery.

Then BAM!

It's a good move because it will surely affect WB five chapters or so later, when this small wound would finally lead to his death or something. At least when he is defeated, it won't be because he was overpowered.

good chapter again, twist was nice at the end as well.

im not really surprised though....i mean this whole ordeal has been mounted with all kinds of crap since the battle royale started. i wont be surprised if Luffy goes berserk and kills everyone in a couple chapters. Until one side wins or retreats, all kinds of crap is going to take place till it comes to an end.

I think it's also time that Garp takes some action (and in the end probably die).

I dont think that WB will survive at the end.
I think the reason why WB was so careless lettin down his guard is that he looks at all his crew as his children and the fact that Squad was a captain means that he was one of his most trustworthy.

Think about if your child who you had a great relationship came up to you, you wouldn't expect them to stab you in the back or in WB case chest

Squad was probably a WG spy sent to gain WB trust and kill one of the youkai
